A: Hi question, For this stand yes you would need to have a monitor on each side for the stand to balance properly. The horizontal arms do not adjust vertically, but each VESA head at the end of each arm can be independently adjusted vertically an inch or so up and down to help with getting the monitors in alignment.
Q: Is the 17 pounds per monitor arm or total? One of my monitors weighs 13 pounds just by itself.

A: Hello Dwayne, this mount can hold up to a 32" screen. However, curved monitors screens are a little bit larger we suggest you double-check dimension of the monitors to ensure you have enough clearance in-between the mounts so they are not overlapping
