The Sony ECM-88B is an ultra-miniature omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone engineered for studio broadcasting, on-camera use, theatrical productions, and any application requiring discreet yet highly detailed sound capture. Its small size makes it easy to conceal in costumes, hairlines, or wardrobe folds, allowing performers to move naturally while maintaining consistent audio quality. The dual-diaphragm condenser element provides high sensitivity, low noise, and a wide dynamic range, paired with a flat 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response that ensures natural, accurate vocal reproduction. Designed to excel in demanding production environments, the ECM-88B incorporates a water-resistant construction that protects the capsule from sweat and environmental moisture, making it a dependable choice for stage performances and outdoor shoots.
