Moza Racing - mBooster Sim Racing Pedal Set (with CRP2 Throttle) for Windows

I came to these from a set of SimJack pedals, and the jump is not subtle. The mBooster doesn't use springs or elastomers at all. There's a servo motor and a ball screw sitting behind the pedal face, so the resistance you feel is generated electronically and you change it in software instead of swapping rubber pucks with a hex key. That sounds like a gimmick until you drive with it. The ABS feedback is the thing that sold me. When the fronts lock, the pedal pushes back at your foot the way a real car does, so you learn to release pressure off that cue instead of staring at a lock indicator. The traction control effect works the same way on throttle. Moza pulls these from their own telemetry data and you can dial each effect up or down individually in Pit House. The sensing hardware is serious. Dual 200 kg load cells sit directly behind the pedal plate, backed by a 15-bit angle sensor and a 21-bit motor encoder running through a sensor fusion setup. In practice that means no dead zone at the top of travel and no mushy spot anywhere in the stroke. Travel adjusts from 0 to 25 degrees and pedal angle from 0 to 15, all in software. I keep a firm short-travel profile and a longer, softer one and switch between them in about five seconds without touching a tool. It's quiet, too. Moza rates it at 44 dB and that's honest. You get a faint servo whir under heavy braking and nothing else. Now the part you need to hear before you click buy. This thing is enormous. The mBooster alone is about 15 inches long and it's heavy. It also needs its own power supply, which is not a small brick, because the motor pulls up to 270 W off a 48 V line. Budget real estate behind your pedal deck for both. Mounting is where I lost an afternoon. I bought Moza's inverted pedal kit separately. Moza lists the mBooster as compatible with it, and technically that's true, but the pedal overhangs the back of the bracket and only two of the four mounting bolts line up with anything. Two bolts holding a pedal you can put 200 kg into was not something I was willing to leave alone. I had a spare bracket left over from a USB handbrake in my parts bin, so I rigged it in underneath to pick up the overhang and give the rear bolts something to thread into. All four bolts are in now and the pedal is rock solid with zero flex. But I had to improvise that. If I hadn't happened to own that bracket, I'd have probably ended up returning the inversion kit. So if you're planning to invert these, go in expecting to add your own support, and understand that "compatible" here means it will bolt up, not that it will bolt up fully. Floor mounting on the included plate is a different story and really is no-mod. Would I buy it again? Yes. It's expensive, it's awkward to install, and I'd still take it over any spring pedal I've owned.

The feedback provided by the active brake pedal is very helpful. Getting into ABA and feeling the kickback is awesome. The throttle pedal is a little stiff for my liking and seems to have a little hang at the 100% posting.. The mounting solution is limited and a somewhat wonky. Hopefully future beyond will improve this. But overall I think this set is will work the money.

theres a reason this active pedal is cheap, dont waste your money on it. If you want an active pedal that bad save and get simicube. This things software crashes your computer and its very glitchy. After a couple of weeks ive messed with all the settings possible and i still dont feel comfortable with them.

IRacing effects are very limited and the effect aren’t strong as the competitor. If this bothers you then go with something different

I came from using the simmagic p2000 pedals with the heptics. This brake almost feels like cheating its so good. Worth every penny!
