Hailing fromHuddersfield's thriving soundsystem culture, Barney has establishedhimself as one of the UK's most in-demand producers, withcollaborations ranging from Ivor-Award-winning work withObongjayar to Mercury-nominated records with Joy Crookes andOlivia Dean. South London-raised Kojo, meanwhile, earned hisstripes in church as well as singing with equally-illustrioushomegrown artists like Cleo Sol and Little Simz. Their upcoming project,VOLUME 1, artfully combines musical weight, commanding vocalsand otherworldly touches to produce songs that feel as personal asthey are deeply universal. Soul, says Barney, isInchgood people making music that matters.Inch And from the very firstline of standout single 'R.L.M.' - InchLondon rain on the window / I don'tcare where we're gonna go / I'm good with youInch - MRCY offer

The three previously unpublished and unrecorded chamber works in this programme were all written after Castelnuovo-Tedesco's enforced move to the United States from his native Italy. Evoking the emotional day on which the composer sailed into New York for the first time, the Third Violin Concerto was composed for Jascha Heifetz specifically as a duo for violin and piano. Established as a highly regarded teacher and composer of film music, Castelnuovo-Tedesco rediscovered the joy of chamber music making as part of the Hollywood musical community. He considered the Sonata for Violin and Cello, Op. 148 his finest in this genre, while the String Trio, Op. 147 recalls the shores of the Mediterranean.
