Easily 5 out of 5 but took a star off because it was so hard to get this card and even harder to get it for MSRP. Big props to Bestbuy for not price hiking like others (looking at you Newegg) and selling it for what AMD sells it at on their site. Now for the review part, I've had cards from both big brands and this is the fastest card i have ever owned. It beats the 1080ti i had and doubles the 5700xt handily. The quality of the reference card is much better than AMD has offered in previous years and although I've heard people complain of coil wine i personally have none. But my case is a little loud with a 3900x OC'd heavily so my fan curve is aggressive anyway. The card is super easy to OC if you want and with the new thermal/frequency algorithm they use if you water block it you can get really high clock speeds. If you can find this card it is very nice but with the 6800xt giving you close to this level of performance for several hundred less (if you can find it at msrp) i would say the 6800xt is the sweet spot for price to performance. I just finished a new build and wanted the biggest AMD had to offer this gen so i got the 6900xt instead. May not seem worth it now but it may keep me from having to upgrade as soon in the future.

Definitely a gamers GPU, and you can't go wrong with paying MSRP for reference or compatibility for watercooling. Mine did have coil whine (along with the 3080 FE I've owned). Very easy to disassemble and compatibility for waterblocks is excellent as my Alphacool block works on the 6800, 6800xt, 6900xt reference models. Disappointing that I did not get any perk such as a mousepad or "R" key, but that's not too important. AMD drivers have always been plug and play - no tweaking involved to get the best clarity jumping into a game right after a fresh hardware/software install. $999 is quite a bit, had this been $799 then I wouldn't have bothered stepping down to a 6800xt, which I've had more fun overclocking than any 3000 series GPU. Already surpassed stock performance on a 3090 and 6900xt on 3DMark TimeSpy.
