A: Although my computer was dead on arrival and was returned to my closest Best Buy in person (a new replacement unit was ordered, but hasn't arrived yet), I noticed that the 5090 was the MSI version. The computer is currently on sale, but more expensive than other 5090 machines with similar specifications, likely due to the "premium" nature of this MSI Extreme Gaming (MEG) machine with it's unique full HD portrait orientation video display on the front of the case.

not a gamer but got the 5090 anyways
It's like a small car is on my desk. Came from a 7 year old MSI Trident X with rtx 2080 for comparison. I used to build but I hate cables, budget creep, and waiting on rma when something is bad. This is my work PC, the most gaming I do is modded minecraft lol. (my favs are MCE, MC Eternal 2 and GreedyCraft, give me questing with OP rewards! Also getting 130+ FPS now) Performance increase is actually nuts, things like AutoCad, predictive modeling (especially python xgboost on millions of rows), simulations, even easy things like Tableau and several excel instances. All improved, and my old PC didn't even feel slow. Built in screen and HMI is gimmicky but cool anyways, HMI software has a memory leak so it will eat half your memory every few days. You can uninstall but I'm keeping until I get bored of looking at it. Onboard speaker is a waste. Also got it after the price reduction when it made actual sense to buy, otherwise would have gone faclon nw cause other people build better than me. Maybe important to you but standard for msi prebuilts - it comes with the prebuilt board, not the retail version, so I think some overclocking/tuning is locked but haven't really messed with it.
