My First PC Build: A Solid Foundation with a Few Hiccups As a first-time PC builder, I was looking for a motherboard that would not only be a great starting point but also provide room for future upgrades. The MSI MPG X870E EDGE TI WIFI caught my eye for several reasons: its future-proof features, a sleek design, and an attractive sale price. After a successful build, I've had some time to reflect on my experience. Key Features and Performance This motherboard truly excels in its connectivity and forward-thinking design. The inclusion of a PCIe 5.0 graphics card slot and two M.2 Gen 5 SSD slots was a major selling point for me, providing a foundation for next-generation components. Beyond that, the board's high-speed networking and I/O options are a huge plus. The 5G Ethernet port ensures I'm ready for faster internet speeds, and the two USB4 ports are a fantastic future-proofing feature, offering incredibly fast data transfer and display capabilities. Initial Impressions and Challenges One minor issue I've encountered is with the RGB lighting synchronization. Upon bootup, the memory lighting defaults to a different setting and doesn't revert to my saved preferences until the system is fully loaded into the operating system. While not a performance issue, it's a minor annoyance that I plan to troubleshoot further with MSI support. The other, more concerning issue was the condition of the packaging upon arrival. The box had some damage on one corner, which I initially dismissed in my excitement to get the build started. Unfortunately, I later discovered a slight bend on a corner of the motherboard itself. While the board appears to be fully functional with no damage to any components, this was a stressful discovery. Overall Verdict Despite the cosmetic damage from shipping and the minor RGB quirk, I am very satisfied with the MSI MPG X870E EDGE TI WIFI. Its robust feature set, including the PCIe 5.0, M.2 Gen 5, 5G Ethernet, and USB4 ports, makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-performance, future-proof motherboard. My experience highlights the importance of carefully inspecting all components upon arrival, especially for new builders. For its features and performance, I would highly recommend this board, but I'd advise buyers to be vigilant about the condition of their package.

Best motherboard in its price range by far. I couldnt be happier with the options this board gives while looking stunning. The ability to add lanes for sutting off just 1 usb A port is awesome. And the rgb control makes this board really shine above the rest in looks.

This board is awesome. Looks great and with great features. No setup issues whatsoever. Only downside is 1 of the 4 m2 slots lane shares with a usb 40gbps port. But due to prices at this time I will never see myself having more than 3 m2 SSD lol. Higly recommend

Purchased this to proactively replace my ASUS Tuf X670E Mainboard. Costs being what the are I did this to stay ahead of price increases. This MSI board worked really well. I thought something was wrong but that ended up being user error. the MSI RMA team was really reasonable when I thought I needed them though. I'm running this with a 9950x, a 420mm aio, and 48GB OF DDR5 7200 memory. All the drive installations are toolless and well labeled. Running Dual 2TB PCIe NVME SSDs with no issue.

I would completely recommend this motherboard. Looks great, everything booted up great and going from the micro-atx project zero motherboard to this one was a great decision. The RGB is great and the quick release for the NVME covers were also a great touch.

I’m in love with this white motherboard! The only cons I really have right now was having issues of updating bios and getting the wifi drivers uploaded ! Other than me having trouble this motherboard is so clean and goes well with the rest of my parts! I say if you’re debating then go ahead and get it … you won’t regret it!

The port and input selection on this board is nice. I did not have any issues installing this, and the bios install and cmos clear buttons are very helpful. The bios UI is nice and clear, so no issues there. I did, however, run into an issue with the CPU temp sensor getting stuck when I would start gaming or run a workload. Turns out the AMD adrenalin SW was monitoring the CPU usage and temps which was causing the issue. Once I turned that off, everything has been perfect.

Product came in earlier than what was estimated. Picked it up from the store with ease. This mobo provided all the ports I needed for RGB without the need for an RGB hub. The four ports for NVMe SSD's is also a nice touch. Overall it was easy to install all the components and prewire everything on this mobo.
