Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XVI - DVD [4 Discs]

Much like the country that spawned it, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is a melting pot. In every imaginable genre, Joel, Mike and their robot pals Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot have seen the promise of cinema mutilated by mediocrity. Nowhere is this highfalutin concept more hilariously exemplified than in this 23rd collection of episodes from the beloved cult comedy television series. You want a Western? It's here. Space adventure? Look no further. Well even throw in a failed TV pilot and a barely coherent science fiction-horror-thriller. All genres are treated with equal disrespect by the luckless crew of the Satellite of Love. They pledge allegiance only to funny, with justice - SoL Style - after all.

Since the dawn of recorded history, sacred texts have inspired intellectuals to enlighten the rest of US through their commentaries. To a certain, special kind of person (and if you're buying this 25th collection of MST3K, pal, you're one of them) cheesy movies are sacred texts. And who better to help US navigate the occult meanings of B-movies holiest scriptures than space captives Joel, Mike and their robot companions Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot? Their running commentaries allow US to laugh at inscrutable plots, painful performances and felonious filmmaking. Here, for the funniest study session you'll ever have, are four more movies unearthed from the ancient caves of Hollywood as interpreted by the long-suffering scholars aboard the Satellite of Love. Titles include ROBOT HOLOCAUST, OPERATION KID BROTHER, KITTEN WITH A WHIP & REVENGE OF THE CREATURE.
