N.A.M.B. - BMAN - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

A delicately expansive collection of chamber folk, the new album from Paper Beat Scissors reaches to far-off wonderment and far-in feelings with ease. Parallel Line explores all the mess and complexity inherent in our day-to-day existence with a quiet, wide-eyed vulnerability. This third full length, mixed by heavyweights Sandro Perri and Dean Nelson (Beck), centres Tim Crabtree's arresting vocal work and reflective lyrical palette to stunning effect. Each song's movement is threaded by gorgeous string arrangements, weaving an emotional core to the record. At it's centre sits a question how is our sense of self strung within a multitude of people, places, experiences? Parallel Line unfurls as a series of (un)certainties, shot through with a visceral tenderness.1. Respire2. Gun Shy 3. All It Was4. Don't Mind 5. Grace6. Anything7. All We Know8. Shapes9. Better10. 2016 , the debut album by this alt-rock band formed by Faith No More's Mike Patton, TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe and rapper/producer Doseone. This has been highly anticipated ever since the project was announced in 2008. Nevermen is neither side-project nor super group; it's merely meant to be - a years-in-the-making partnership in which these men shared all duties, discovering their collective sound with the sort of glee and freedom usually reserved for first-timers. Amid this wild, weird churn of rock, pop, rap, soul, and other, it's shockingly easy to lose track of who's singing at what moment, and that's the point to quote Tunde/Adam/Mike in song, InchThe frontman digests it's self.Inch Nevermen, the album, finds these three giants shredding their egos to get at the heart of why they do what they do, to explore the hopes and fears and wins and losses of anyone who carves career out of what started as dream.

Tracks include InchThe Night They Drove Dixie Down,Inch InchWhispering Pines,Inch InchRockin' Chair,Inch InchWhen You AwakeInch and more, along with a bonus 7 tracks of alternative takes and mixes.
