Nada Surf - The Weight Is A Gift - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Available again, Nada Surf's PROXIMITY EFFECT has been out of print for over a year. This is an album of indelible melodies and heart stopping choruses that won't leave your head for days.

'Impatient' is the sensational new by Steve Pearson, former lead singer/guitarist of Seattle's legendary groups The Heats (a.k.a. The Heaters) and The Rangehoods. This C-D is the much anticipated follow-up to Pearson's acclaimed solo debut 'Battles & Ballads', and finds the artist in fine form with a stellar new collection of finely crafted pop/rock tunes a' la The Byrds, Badfinger, Tom Petty, The Kinks and The Beatles. Pearson's strong melodic sensibilities and poignant lyrics are evident on every track, and listeners will find both a sense of familiarity and freshness with the material. 'Impatient' is a must for all fans of Steve Pearson and his former bands, and will have broad appeal for those with an appreciation of the classic power-pop/rock genre. Also available from cdbaby Steve Pearson 'Battles & Ballads' TSK7351.

It's over six years since Nada Surf annexed MTV with their sardonic slacker anthem PopularInch, before apparently vanishing into the post-Nirvana one-hit wonders Satchel. But any surprise at the existence of this third LP is nothing compared to the fact of the record's brilliance - InchMojo, Let GoInch is Nada Surf's first full-length in over 4 years and is a departure from their two previous efforts. A must for fans.
