These mounts are an improvement over the factory ones, allowing you to position the camera any way you choose. However, they are cheaply made and the poor castings make them difficult to work with. I had to smooth the casting and work on the threads to get them to tighten properly and allow me to position the camera the way I wanted to. The plastic thumbwheel to lock the mount to the camera leaves a lot to be desired. Poorly made, great idea, too bad the factory mounts are not made like this.

Easy to install the instructions should tell you to reverse the original mounting plate because if you are mounting the camera under the eve or overhang the original mounting socket Head is in the way Once I reversed the plate it worked perfect I have one problem when opening the page for the second mounting bracket the nut and tool are missing

Quality could stand to be improved. Careful when tightening. I broke a screw and item is useless now. I bought another and will use it for spare parts. The manufacturer should add parts to kit or allow you to purchase parts separately

Bought this so I could mount my Ring camera underneath my overhang above the front door. It works great. It's been up since September 2020, holding its 90 degree angle. The mount that comes with the camera would not allow me to mount the camera this way.

This does exactly what you would think, it holds the camera. Not much else to say, 3 screws to hold it against the house and one screw to go to the camera.

The installer did not finish the job. No one answers the phone to reschedule someone to finish-up. I bought a product that no one wants to install.

I can finally adjust my camera to see what I want.
