This is by far the best $119 I have spent on anything. The Chromebook although plastic is very sturdy and it feels good in my hand. The keyboard is awesome. There is no flex and the travel is just right for me, The LCD in my opinion is nice and bright. It is a matte screen so no glare. The battery is outstanding. I use this all day and I still have power to spare. I use mainly terminal and vim, with some streaming movies and surfing. I also have Linux running via Crostini. This purchase was a no brainer. I could have gotten the Samsung with more storage and less money but the build quality of that one was not even close to the Dell.

This chrome book froze up every 20 min, from the first startup. The screen became pixelated and sound skipped. Had to do full reboot every time. Took it back to store. Customer service couldn’t even get it to boot up at that point it had a black screen. Maybe I got a dud, or maybe it’s junk.

I went to Best Buy to look at laptops and chrome books wasn’t planning on buying anything but the price of the product and all the information that was given to me i couldn’t resist of not buying it i love how little and compatible it is the camera is amazing it’s good for my children to do reports and projects on it they also love how fast and easy it is to download things i choose a really nice product i would refer this item to anybody looking to not spend a lot of money but still get the same quality as other laptops I’m actually thinking about purchasing another one for me for my small business it’s a very good product for me being a first timer but the kids really love it it’s also good for the baby that likes to play games and watch kid videos on YouTube couldn’t have chose a better product to buy

Can't beat this model on price, build quality, and functionality. I am running Linux (under crouton) with Chrome OS which gives me the flexibility to run Visual Studio Code, terminal, and other native Linux applications. (In order to do this you need to run Chrome OS in developer mode) At the office I attach a keyboard, mouse, and monitor for daily development use. I own a Razer Blade, Dell XPS, and a Dell 7310 business Chromebook. Lately I have been reaching for this Chromebook as a go to machine outside of work. Lastly I have a setup that I can save my development work to Github, image my OS, Powerwash, and start over with a new build in minutes. No complaints as of yet and if it were to get lost or stolen I would go out and buy another. :) One tip go out and buy a large capacity microSHDC. I am running a 200GB card for storage.

Great little laptop if you're looking for a no frills setup to do web based activities and apps. Very fast, great picture, and super user friendly. You can't beat the value for the price point. It's the first chromebook I have ever used. I wouldn't go back to a traditional laptop again after using the chromebook. However my use of a computer is almost exclusively web based, which is what the chromebook is designed for. And with most services and apps using cloud based services I imagine that's what most people are looking for. But if you are looking for a traditional type pc feel or computing power this is not the device for you.

Purchased the Chromebook for my freshman in high school. Her school requires that the students have them. After the debate over renting one from the school, I found this one for a great deal! Because it was an open box item, it was priced even lower! This Chromebook stays charged for days, is very easy to transport and works well for the needs of my student. Despite it being an open box item, all of the components were there, along with the instruction manual. I would definitely recommend this item!

Have used Dell for years, as laptops with MS Word for college teaching work. But, for ease of use, speed of connecting to internet and browsing, researching and watching videos - can't beat a Chromebook!! This one was ease of use right out of the box, a good size screen, keyboard with keys a bit closer together (good for me, with smaller hands), longer battery life, information synced from old Chromebook. Love it, without reservation for my personal uses. Best Buy price - couldn't beat it anywhere!!

I think it’s still one of the best Chromebooks out there, having owned one for one month now. Despite its price, the plastic body feels classy and expensive to touch. Great choice of case material, and it has a wonderful sleek but understated design that seems serious and businesslike. The construction is great for a low-end notebook, it feels solid in a way for a device expected to endure the stress of schools. Screen is quite adequate, I think its better than others, but its also glossy. Glossy improves color saturation, but you can get bright reflections on the screen. Some people might prefer glossy screens, others might prefer matt screens. If you like matt Keyboard has short travel keys like many Chromebooks. It works pretty well for touch typing, although I can't decide if I like this more less. Performance is snappy as one might expect, and this thing has incredible battery life for a notebook, on par, maybe slightly better than others I would heartily recommend this product and its brand, although I think its a bit more expensive than comparable Chromebooks of similar spec. But if you believe in the maxim you get what you pay for, this seems to be in mind.

I purchased this for my wife to use for accessing cloud based shared documents for work. She needed something light and portable, but sturdy and inexpensive enough that it would not be catastrophic if it were to be damaged or disappear. This fit the ticket perfectly. Another great part is that it is super easy for her to use and maintain.

I needed a chromebook for work (high school) and at first said many a choice word as I tried to navigate using it, setting it up, etc etc. But once I watched a couple of how-to videos and followed those point-by-points I began to get a handle on what a chromebook can and cannot do. When it comes to what it CAN do I can must give it a full 5 stars. It's lightweight, keeps its charge for the entire school day of videos, zooms, back and forth sharings, emails, homework vid chats, NEA coursework and downtime streaming. There's one program (Wordpress) that does not work on this, but I'm well OK with that and use my laptop for that once a week chore. I'm careful with this device but even I can be careless and drop a book on the keyboard or have it slip from my hands and land hard on my desk. But this Timex just keeps on ticking, folks. After 7 hours of long and steady workout I come home and plug it in to recharge ... which takes only a few minutes! Also, and this is REALLY BIG: it starts instantly when I open the cover!!!! At this so-reasonable price I TRULY recommend you get yourself one. There's some fun stuff you can do, also, so getting one for your kid to use (instead of the well worn one being supplied at his school) is a good idea in my opinion (just check with the school to see if their tech dude can/will enter it into their system for printer codes, etc.

Purchased for my sister to use while away from her home for her schoolwork. She loves the small size and light weight of this laptop- she said it was easy to get it up and running, and it charges very quickly. For her needs it is absolutely perfect. Got it at a decent price too, so all in all very happy.

This computer is lightweight and it’s very fast for the price I paid. It was easy to set up. I bought it to take to classes and to use as a teacher for lesson planning. I’m extremely happy with this purchase so far!

So l got my daughter the dell chromebook and it is perfect. It has more than enough storage for her and she does her homework and stream with speed. It is rugged too, she has dropped it a few times but no damage to software or cosmetics. Great buy for the price.

This is a very fine student Chromebook, considering its price. It costs less to purchase then repairing a shattered screen on my daughter's previous Googke Chromebook. This Dell function is very well, not blazingly fast but perfectly fine for everyday needs. It feels nice and sturdy and can hopefully withstand at least one impact. The keyboard is particularly well put together and much more preferable to say, a small tablet. Don't hesitate to buy this if your blending budget and performance.

Bought this for my elementary school child who needed it for her school project/presentation using Powerpoint. This chrome book is reasonably priced with sufficiently quick response and good enough power. Really quick to start up and that is excellent for elementary school child who does not want to wait for 5 minutes before the laptop boots up (like with Windows 10). Google offers parental control app through the smartphone so it is easy to control the web experience for kids. 11.6 inch screen is acceptable for such a basic use for kids, but may be when they grow up to middle school/high school, I will need to upgrade to a larger screen version.
