I purchased this fridge as an open box and saved a lot of money. So far I don't have any regrets and would have no issues with purchasing this unit at full price but why not save some bucks if you can. I like everything from how it makes my kitchen look, to how spacious it is inside. I also like the led lighting inside. The water from the dispenser doesn't come out cold and is slightly cooler than room temperature. Other than that I'm satisfied with my purchase.

We love Whirlpool. Our old refrigerator is Whirlpool as well. This refrigerator has large space which we want. The only one we do not like is when it starts, it makes long time noise.

This was an Excellent choice provided by Whirlpool as it has features of plenty, excellent size inside and out. Ice Maker really puts out and is a decent size without taking up much room. Water Dispenser is super convenient and refreshing too and please note I read other reviews that the Ice or water would spill or drip. I have yet to experience that and frankly those other folks just need to learn to keep the Glass or pitcher under the spout. Controls are easy to understand and navigate. Freezer holds a heck of a lot more than one would think. Best of all is you can clearly see items very easily in both Freezer and fridge and design helps you to stay neat and organized in there. I also noticed the Active air circulation removes smells from the refrigerator, while a produce-preserver system in the crisper drawers maintains the freshness of fruits and vegetables so they stay fresh much much longer. I live alone and have cut down considerably on waste thanks to these 2 systems. Door Storage is also very nice and convenient. The drop down fridge shelf is also a great design. I was also impressed by the Value and No Pressure Customer Service and excellent pricing the Best Buy Duarte Staff gave me. Add to that the Professional and knowledgeable Delivery Crew - You can't ask for anything more.

Nice looking fridge with some good features but not as well designed as it should be. Door shelving not as configurable as it could be due to different widths. Narrow (depth) shelves are NOT interchangeable with the deep ones as far as location in door). Energy usage is NOT the same as noted in online description. Freezer is big but drawers limit the dimensions of boxes/packages it can hold (although the pizza slot against the front was a great idea). I got rid of my rather old fridge due to excessive "sweating" likely due to failure of the insulation yet this brand new one drips (condensation) from the in-door dispenser (not a leak since after almost a month, Best Buy has yet to get the right people out to hook up the ice maker; more on this later). Condensation is also always present on top of the freezer drawer seal which I have to wipe several times a day. I know I live in a humid area but couldn't they at least design a fridge/freezer that gathers and evaporates this condensation rather than starting a mildew farm? Finally, Best Buy Service is a bit of a nightmare to deal with. I'm still waiting to have a working ice maker. "Free delivery and installation" only includes someone screwing the end of a ready-made hose fitting onto a pre-existing valve (something a 6-year-old can do); that's all. The assume every house has a pre-existing ice maker hookup on the kitchen wall. My house was built in 1910, needless to say I needed a REAL installation and that was not clear as to the scope of work that the "Geek Squad" performs. Plus, the "refrigerator with ice maker" does not come with ANY hookup, the kit (a hose with fittings on each end) is extra. And if you don't already have a valve/fitting on a cold water pipe, THAT'S extra (a lot extra). While the folks that work the phones are very polite and nice, the confusion and screw-ups at that end are EPIC. At this point, it appears that I MIGHT have a working ice maker approximately one month after initial delivery but I can't say for sure as it hasn't happened yet. It would all be hilarious (a la "Keystone Kops") if it wasn't so frustrating and anger-inducing.

We purchased this refrigerator for our first home because it has an external ice and water dispenser, is a French door model, and has a bottom freezer section. Overall, the options this refrigerator offers does not leave anything to be desired for a home that consists of 2 adults. There's plenty of space inside the refrigerator section as well as the freezer section for us. The ice dispenses decent sized wedges and crushes them well. I did deduct 1 star because the handles seem to get loose fairly quickly; we are at 1 month of usage and they have loosened some. Also, the shelves and door compartments seem to be pretty short albeit adjustable. Fitting a 2 L soda bottle and/or a gallon pitcher of ice tea might be slightly difficult unless you use the retractable shelving option on the main shelf or have top and bottom 4" height shelves to fit nothing. Fitting a 6+ cup Brita filter might be difficult also. Overall, these are minor issues that do not affect our way of life. I plan to purchase some screw non-permanent Loctite to keep the fridge handles in place. If you find this item on sale, I say take the plunge. The UI tells you when you will need to change the water filter, but I have not touched it any more than that to test the other capabilities of the refrigerator. Plug it in and begin usage!

We've only had it for about a week. So far the only downfall is you have to open both doors to be able to open the main drawer in the refrigerator section. Not a deal breaker just didn't notice it before we bought it.

After reading several reviews and reports which type and model to purchase we choose this unit. It is easy to use. This has many cool features and is kinda hi tech. Has ample room and is sharpe to look at. It's only been a few weeks for us but so far it's a great unit for us.

Within 5 years we have had numerous problems with the fridge. The ice maker intermittedly works and leaks (honestly we did not set it up immediately and when we did from go it never quite worked right). The bottom freezer door doesn't quit close flush all the time. The 'stainless' finish has little rust spots on it over time, small cosmetic blemishes that make me wish we would have gotten the plastic exterior. Occassionally I think I could rip out the ice maker and try to replace it or attempt to repaint the exterior with some enemal paint - maybe with dedication we could make it work better but doesn't seem great as is. I wish we would not have purchased this model/brand.

We love this fridge. I love the big open space where I can put large platters. I love that the top left shelf folds back so you can put tall things there. Love the ice in the door. So much better than traditional fridges. The drawers in the freezer make it easy to organize. Fruits and veggies seem to stay fresher longer in drawers. The extra long drawer is great for meats and cheeses. Two things that bother me a little: 1. The ice maker seems to be on a second delay when dispensing. Even when you stop pressing I've comes out a second later so you have to keep your cup there or it will go on the floor. Also it doesn't line up right with cups. We've had a few spills. 2. The doors seem to swing open very easily and fling back which makes things jostle in the door. I'm afraid something will fall out.

After tonnes of research on the internet and even Consumer Reports, I ended up buying this fridge simply because it was on sale as a floor model. I am not kidding when I say that is the best deal one can get. I looked at Sears Outlet and the models there are pretty badly banged up. This one had only minor cosmetic blemishes and at about $1.1k it was a steal. Some of the other reviewers had gripes about the water dispenser leaking - have not had that. But yes you do have to be a tad bit careful as there is a very minor lag to cutting the water and it actually stopping. Honestly would not have noticed unless I read the review. Some people might prefer having two dispensers for the ice and water - but that is purely preference. The touch screen allows to control temperature, ice/water etc and is quite user friendly. The door open sensor is nice because we tend to leave the door just ajar a few times and that helps reduce the bills. We do not use the freezer much but it works well. We did have a problem with the door not closing properly within a few weeks. But thanks to geek squad it was fixed promptly(i took the extended protection). The water filter is a little small and some people have complained about slow water flow. I encountered similar problem in the beginning but after a week or so, the force was just right. The fridge is silent and also cools well. The only negative I have is that due to the stainless steel - it smudges very easily but it is easy to clean. I have had this for a few months now and am quite pleased with the purchase and consider it is good value for money (note: I bought the floor model). I shall publish an update after some time.

If you're looking for a stainless steel, french door style refrigerator with the freezer on bottom, this is about the best you'll find in this price range. A smart design provides lots of room and the right amount of drawers and compartments give plenty of places to store various items. The LED lighting all around the interior provides plenty of visibility without being too bright and the multi-filter design keeps the water, food and aroma fresh. While I'm not a huge fan of the bottom-drawer freezers because you have to bend over every time you use them, this one is pretty good. Drawers and compartments are well-placed to minimize digging around for what you're looking for. The refrigerator's mechanics are quiet, the features are plentiful and, unless you're looking to spend significantly more, this refrigerator provides everything you'd want in a mid-level product. It's a great value that I'm happy with after a month of use.

Our new refrigerator is great. It has great cooling capability, is functional, looks great, and is very spacious. The only negative is the same as other reviews in that it can hold on to a last ice cube in the dispenser at times. This has not been a problem for us, but was the reason I downgraded the Features to Good. All in all a great fridge! Best Buy delivery was also great and arrived when expected and installed perfectly.

This fridge has a lot of room. It's easy to change shelves to match items you use the most. I love the extra large drawer for cheeses and meats. This is the first fridge we purchased that has the bottom freezer and It is larger than the side by side. I love the compartment for pizzas. Everything about it is terrific.

This refrigerator has lots of room and compartments. It doesn't require anything special to clean it, just soap & water. Only thing I don't like is that a few drops of water comes out after you have finished using the dispenser on the door. Everything else is great.
This review is from Whirlpool - 24.7 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Black

The fridge is quiet and looks great and seems to cool evenly. The freezer is not too cold like many I have had in the past. The only compliant I have is the ice maker is small, which is common for French Door refrigerators from what I looked at.

I love the way this model keeps everything orderly and in sight. After a long search I had narrowed my picks down to this model or the one like it with the drawer. This model just seemed to have a little more space. Bought it on the November appliance special at a terrific price. Very pleased.

Would have given this refrigerator 5 stars but the water dispenser nozzle is short and makes it hard to fill up water bottles. Everything else is great. Several compartments to store all your food and it not get lost.
