The Good: The Lume Cubes are photography flashes / lights. They are encased in aluminum and they offer quite a few operational modes - strobe, flash with camera shutter, red eye reduction, and 4-5 levels of intensity as a solid light. They come with an easy to use application allowing you to operate the lights via Bluetooth. The Bad: Not useful for much. Most Hobbyists aren’t allowed to fly at night. They aren’t bright enough for serious search and rescue - bright by not like a spot light. They work on Bluetooth so once your bird is 30 feet away you can no longer operate them remotely. They are heavy. The Mavic is a powerful little drone and has no issue getting off of the ground or flying with them but it’s working hard and battery life is significantly shortened. They’re kinda cool and impressive looking but I’m not sure thats enough to justify the cost.

These lights are fantastic. They are Bluetooth to my phone, so I can operate them as needed. I have not found the max range that I cannot operate them. They are heavy, I would estimate total weight added to my drone is about 1½ to 2 pounds. Doesn't seem to bother the Mavic. Flight time is diminished a little. I will say the ones for the Mavic Pro/Pro Platinum attach funky. Granted these were the 1st run but I would have thought a revision would have been made. I know there is a difference between these and the ones for the Mavic Zoom because I purchased those by mistake. Anyway - For the Zoom they attach to the arms (just like the Mavic Platinum) but the Zoom there is a locking mechanism that wraps from under the arm and attaches to the top and joins thus locking it to the arm. On the Platinum, it attaches on top of the arm and that is it. Nothing comes from under and securing it. I was leery at first when I took it up. I have waited for these to come down in price since they were put out for sale. I have only flown at night 1 time and that was only with a couple of observers to help keep track of it. My wife is a photographer. I use the lights to help illuminate things at night so her photos are more spectacular,

Size does not mater with these lighs! Great for any situation when flying the mavic and need or want to light up the night. And using your phone to contoll them is great you wont be disappointed. Unless you want to keep it dark than you may not like them.

Bought this for my Mavic pro. It is specific fit just for the pro. This will not fit the Mavic 2 or the Air. Lights are awesome, the app is easy to use and gives you full control of the lighting!

Real deal lights in metal case not cheap plastic! Powerfully bright and worth the price!

These lumen cube lights are super bright for night flying and can also be used for several camera lighting settings aside of drone use. Love the Bluetooth control of the brightness settings!

It’s strong and bright but not ideal for search and rescue. It’s not that strong. But overall it’s a bright light for small kine stuff.

Super bright lights love the app. Love how you don't have to have them on all the time. And you can change the brightness.

I've only done a little testing but seems to work great. App works well, so far

I have purchased Lume Cube and installed on Mavic 2 Pro. Using Mavic 2 mount. Above 250 ft the mount came off and hit the props and Mavic 2 smashed to the ground. Luckily didn't hit anyone nor any property. Crashed right next to a parked car. I am an experienced drone pilot this happened to me first time. I reported this incident to DJI as well as FAA. Lume Cube has to make modifications in order to use this mount. I tried to contact to Lume Cube but no one returned my call. Bad customer service as well. DO NOT USE this product because it is very dangerous, in mid air the mount comes off. DJI doesn't want to pay replacement which is right because the 3rd party product caused the crash. Just wanted to let you know before you buy it. At the end I was lucky just lost the Mavic 2, it could be worse if it did hit someone or property. I am going to report this incident everywhere I can. It is very very dangerous on Mavic 2 pro.
