I haven't seen any reviews about this monitor, so I decided to grab one and test it out. Also, it was an open box with a decent price, so why not. I had to adjust a few display settings like brightness, color, contrast, sharpness to match my MacBook Pro display. I also messed with my display setting on the laptop. I changed the color profile to Color LCD, turned off True Tone and HDR. I got it really close to match the Retina. I also use this monitor for gaming, I had to adjust some brightness and contrast to my liking, but I got it where I'm happy with it. I dislike that it doesn't have any Free Sync or G Sync capabilities but it works for casual gaming and not so competitive gaming. The ports this monitor has are, 1 HDMI (which sucks), 3 USB ports (can be used as a hub), and 1 USB C with 90w Power! There's a 3.5mm output, BUYER BEWARE, this monitor DOES NOT have speakers. I found out the hard way. It's a great start for intermediate photographers and gamers, I think. It's well priced, but there are better options if you're willing to spend a few buck more. I've been contemplating on exchanging it but I can't justify spending more.

I've had this for 5 months and so far I have enjoyed using this as my editing monitor. The clarity and color depth is great. You can control the saturation if it is a little too vibrant for your liking. The brightness on this is more than adequate. I typically keep the brightness around 35-50% throughout the day and night. If you are a casual gamer who prefers a high visual experience over the best performance, then I would recommend this as your gaming monitor. was super excited for a decently cheap 4k monitor but when it arrived pixels started dying as soon as I plugged it in. After about an hour or two there were enough dead pixels to notice while pushed back from my desk, losing more over the next while. Super sad that I waited for this for it to come out of the box with problems. Best Buy support was useless, Samsung probably will be too if they ever call me back.

No dead pixels. So-so black levels. So-so HDR. Great color accuracy out of the box. 60Hz refresh rate is ok. Good viewing angles. Good adjustability. Good price.

The picture and color is great and it worked perfectly… just until it was out of warranty. It started literally turning off for 1-3 seconds randomly while I am playing Xbox on it. This could happen every minute or two, or just a couple of times, or not at all… no way to tell how the motnitor felt that day. I troubleshot with Samsung tech support, bought a new power cord, and still does it. It works great for work purposes with my laptop though… go figure. I just bought a new second monitor for my Xbox - this monitor isn’t fast enough (60hz) anyway for game play.

Pretty light and simple. Picture quality is good but not excellent. Great for a normal work monitor but not as equipped for gaming. Super easy to set up. Provides for a clean work space. Great value and definitely very happy with this purchase.

It is a good monitor, especially after adjusting the Eco settings as mentioned by other reviewers. Nice picture quality. Video and USB data work as expected with just the provided USB-C cable connected to my Mac Mini 2018. However, the warranty is only 1 year, not 3 years as stated on the product page here, the Samsung product page, and the documentation that comes with the monitor. I have confirmed this after registering the monitor on the Samsung website and multiple conversations with Samsung Support via live chat and phone. They refuse to honor the 3 year warranty period, despite it being specified as such in the documentation they provide with the monitor, and try referring me to Best Buy. I still think it is a good value for a UHD monitor with USB-C, but a 3 year warranty would be nicer.

Very easy setup and great 4k graphics. Wish it was a bit brighter, but still an outstanding monitor.

This is a really well monitor for this price I use this for connecting my Mac This display is on par with the built-in display from my MacBook Colors and back is nice. Good product.

Crystal clear and the perfect size for business. I have the 27 inch Samsung and an old 24 inch as well as a laptop. They all work together but the 27 inch Samsung picture quality sings!

I bought this screen as a second screen and be displaced vertically and it does a great job with beautiful colors after proper calibration. Excellent screen and good price.

No missing dots and great monitor great for photography editing I was look for a 4K monitor just so I can watch and edit videos in 4K

I really appreciate the monitor adjustable stand and USB port hub. Easy configuration buttons, very good picture.

The monitor itself is great! great quality and it has everything I was looking for, It would be perfect BUT... the is a strong high pitch noise coming from the back of the monitor where the USP plugs are. I bought 2 of these monitors and both emit the same noise. It is not super loud, but loud enough to be very disturbing if you work in a quite environment. Unfortunately I will return both monitor for this problem. I do recommend this monitor for office work, where typically there is already some white/background noise. I do not recommend this monitor if, like me, you work from home in a quite and silent environment where such noise becomes very audible). I'm really sorry about this issue because I do really like the monitors but this "little" detail makes them uncomfortable to use so I will need to return. What a bummer that I need to return the monitor for something so secondary as USB plugs

A beautiful screen with excellent features however I had to return it because of one small problem. There is a faint humming sound that I didn't notice at first but once I did, it's all I heard. The only way to stop the sound was to unplug the power cable. I dunno, make it was a random glitch on mine but decided to try a different 4k screen.

Screen looks great with my MacBook Pro (connected using USB-C). Brightness level was a problem for me until I turned off the "Eco Sensor Mode" at the bottom of the System menu.

The Samsung A800 Series 27" IPS LED 4K UHD monitor with HDR delivers crystal clear color quality for amazing picture display. The color is accurate and detailed with a wide range of colors and performs very well. The TUV-certified intelligent eye care helps to relieve my eyes from strain. This is an excellent monitor at a great price. You will not be disappointed with this monitor.

Bought 2 to work with my Lenovo C940 laptop. Works great. Crystal clear 4K picture. Laptop charging power thru USB-C is a big plus. Planned to buy a dual monitor mount but the stands that come with the monitor adjust so well in height, that it was unnecessary. Very happy with these so far.
