This device is an MST Hub, which as of the time of this writing is NOT supported to drive two displays individually using macOS 10.15 and earlier. It will drive two displays mirrored, which is not frankly very useful. This is important information that should be part of the product description (I found out after purchasing and trying to resolve this from StarTech's support site.)

I needed something to make it possible to connect my two work monitors into my work laptop. This little device is exactly what I needed. Works perfectly and takes up very little space.

In this age of teleworking and the need to have a larger screen than the laptop, this adapter was great to hook up to a spare monitor we had in the house. I can’t imagine working without that second monitor and this made it possible.

Set everything up, loaded the driver. Both monitors worked at first but then apps weren't opening so I restarted my computer now the adapter doesn't work at all. I will return tomorrow.
