I purchased this since the iDatalink Maestro RR I recieved from another source did not work since they do not have a guide nor a premade harness for the 2014-up Mazda 6. I return the Maestro RR and bought the this. I downloaded the instructions from the website and within 30 mins of following the clear and precise instructions, I had functioning steering wheels control with my Pioneer MVH-2300NEX.

I wanted to save money so I didn’t get the plug and play harness. I went ahead and tapped into some OEM wires. The OEM harness has really small wires, maybe 22 gauge. Butt connectors, tap connectors, and crimps did not work for me. I ended up having to solder as the OEM wires were too skinny for those crimp-type connectors. So I ended up having to redo everything because my interface kept getting errors. Also, don’t be color blind like me and connect the green/yellow instead of the green/orange. Green/orange looked more like green/brown to me. So it took me 2 hours too long to install this. Instructions were clear and easy, but the colors were off to me. After getting everything right, the interface just autodetected everything without me having to do anything except turn the key to on. All the buttons were mapped automatically. Now the volume, seek, disp (display), and hands free buttons work! It’s really cool how you can add second functions to your buttons with long press, but I got impatient and didn’t want to utilize them. I really want to know if mute works on my stereo because my stereo doesn’t have a mute function natively.

Works better than anything else ive found. I replaced my wore out radio with a pioneer avh-120bt and lost the steering controls. Ive hotwired things to get it to work, ive gone off pioneers recommendations, even other products, that advertise for this exact model and truck. Nothing. This ones works.

The included instructions are terrible. Even the online guide is bad. I had to do a bit of research to find out how to properly troubleshoot when I ran into the auto program issues. With that said, once you figure it out, it works wonderfully. The wiring is quite easy however if you aren’t technically savvy with that kind of thing (dash removal, pin reading, splicing) then I wouldn’t do this and have a professional do it. I did the whole install, including the new double din radio and it took about an hour and a half. This control module works great and I have retained all the steering wheel controls (volume, skip, handsfree, etc).

Purchased open box. Not much to it, module, harness, and a couple of 3.5mm adapters (in case your particular head unit uses a wire instead of a headphone type jack. Visited the website for vehicle specific instructions. They were very clear. I got it wired up quick and it auto programmed in about 10 seconds. Now my Tacoma steering wheel buttons can adjust the volume, track/station, and even input to my new Kenwood DMX907S. Highly recommend.

Bought this aftermarket for fitting pioneer nav system replacing the cd player in hondar crv 2010. Fits perfectly. Metra is by far the most recommended. So went with it. Quite pricey. But all settering controls work fine. Best Buy Geek Squad charge extra labor just for this. Thats pricey as well.

everything hooks up great. Fast and easy installation with this integration unit. Only thing that sucks is, it does not have Bluetooth capabilities. Bluetooth controls does not work with this unit. If you can, go with PAC. It has Bluetooth. If that does not matter, this is worth to buy.

Got this with our alpine HD radio, had all the fancy buttons on the steering wheel, wanted to use them with the new radio, it actually makes navigating the unit much easier. Would highly recommend. Cost was a bit steep but worth it.

Works great BUT I had to order a custom harness for crutchfield to make it work with my truck. But it works exactly as advertised. The pioneer I added to my son's truck is great with the steeri g wheel controls.

This works very well once it is installed and programmed. However, to get it to work all functions, can be very difficult to get right the first time. I had this installed by Geek Squad and it was not controlling any of the Bluetooth functions nor changing channels well. I contacted the manufacturer and got an e-mail back then took it back to the Installer who was awesome. He worked this non-stop calling his own in-house tech support which put him on hold for an hour, then he called a very knowledgeable friend in the business and the manufacturer. It turns out neither the instructions that come with it nor the first e-mail I received from the manufacturer were correct. It took the better part of a day and change to get this working well. However, when it was finally done, everything worked. Kudos to my Installer. He rocked!

This control box allows the existing steering wheel controls to connect with the radio. They work seamlessly and have a slight beep when you press them.

Followed the directions for installing in an F150 pickup - connected a few wires and it recognized the new Kenwood head Unit - Automatically programmed itself - and retained all the factory Steering wheel button functions that the truck had from the factory. Perfect solution.

Worked great! Nothing better than being able to keep your factory steering controls when upgrading your head unit!
