My wife and I purchased this roborock vacuum since it was on sale and wanted to try a robot vacuum. We were not to interested in mopping but it was something we would try. This roborock was easy to setup and configure. It has worked flawlessly so far. We vacuum a room every few with it and it picks up 94+% of the things on the floor, which is great. Obstacle avoidance is good. The automatic empty is wonderful. The mopping was basic but worked well. Room mapping worked well also and being able to mark on map no go zones is great

Perfect vacuum cleaner for German Shepherd owner! The robot will continue over an area until all debris/hair is gone. The auto empty feature is a big plus! The room mapping is very accurate. The ability to select a room or zone vacuum options from the app is easy to navigate.

So far so good that I have using it a week. Very convenient with schedule cleaning. I set cleaning at 2 am and the floor looks great in the morning. Very powerful suction. I got it for around $400 on sale.

Rocky is a great little vacuum. He runs pretty reliably, and manages the dog and human hair pretty well. We have 2 female humans and an Australian Shepherd, so we give him a challenge. It took several months of me not knowing how to remove the hair from the wheels before he started to get stuck. Was a little bit of a challenge getting him connected initially, but we figured it out.

A Game-Changer for Effortless Cleaning I’ve had the Roborock Q8 Max Plus for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become one of the best investments I’ve made for my home. Here’s what stands out: What I Love: • Powerful suction & cleaning – With up to 5,500 Pa of suction, it picks up dust, crumbs, and pet hair with ease. • Self-emptying dock – The auto-dump feature means I don’t have to constantly empty the bin. • Dual roller brush & mop combo – The DuoRoller handles both hard floors and low-pile carpet beautifully, and the mopping function leaves floors streak-free. • Smart mapping & app control – The mapping is precise. I can set no-go zones, schedule cleaning, and switch modes right from my phone. • Quiet & efficient – It’s not silent, but it manages to be relatively quiet during most operations, especially compared to older vacuums I used. • Reliable build & design – The unit feels sturdy and well-made, with quality components and a sleek look. A Few Minor Drawbacks: • The initial setup — mapping rooms and refining zones — takes some time to perfect. • On very high-pile carpets, it may struggle a bit (as with most robot vacs). • The self-emptying bin bags cost extra (as expected for this kind of model). Bottom Line: If you’re tired of manual vacuuming and want a smart, high-performance solution that does both vacuuming and mopping — with minimal effort — the Roborock Q8 Max Plus delivers. It’s especially great for busy households, pet owners, and anyone who wants to reclaim their time. Highly recommended

I was able to set up multiple levels and a schedule for my main floor to run every night. Walking down every morning not seeing dog fur has been amazing!

I upgraded from the S4 that I had for 5 years. It's awesome! The S4 had a bristle brush that got clogged with my daughter's long hair every use. I had to clean the brush weekly. With the Q8, I had to clean the brushes once. I love the mopping feature. I got it on sale when it dropped to $399.

Our 2 yr old son throws a lot of food I never thought a robo vaccum would pickup. I turn it on, go to bed, and it's a fresh floor every morning. I wish I could pair it up with my alexa to run on voice commands though.

Good robot For price. Pleased with the mop function. Only critique is the object avoidance ability

Very easy to use and setup. The mop feature on this unit requires more work to clean after every use. I no longer use the mop feature

I had many vacuum robots most of them on the cheaper end. They only last about 2 years maybe 3 and they all had glitches. This time I decided to spend a bit more and already happy with my purchase. This vacuum and it’s app work really well so far. Hope it will last a little longer then the other ones. Worth the upgrade for the quality.

I should preface this with the fact that I have five kids, a dog, and three cats. I feel like this vacuum does not get nearly as much as it should and is prone to getting stuck on stuff. If all you have is sand or maybe a little dog hair it might be OK, but things like Fluff from a toy a dog tore up or something like that tend to cause problems with his vacuum and it’s not getting anywhere near as much as I needed it to.

This is my second Roborock unit. The first was a Mac version and a higher end one. This unit having to fill the water basin manually, wash mop manually, and if you’re doing a mix of carpet and mop, you really should do them separately. A lot of manual labor for an expensive device. The software is fine - god forbid your dock location randomly change, you’ll be remapping and labeling over and over. Spend more and get the high end model - it’s phenomenal.

Gets clogged with pet hair very easily both while vacuuming and trying to empty itself.
