Decent laptop for everyday use, with enough hard disk storage and

In this day and age I can't really recommend a computer with only 4GB RAM. It's not 2007 anymore, it's 2019. Software has changed rapidly and radically. While the internal RAM of this laptop can be upgraded, the quad core X555QA-CBA12A with 8GB RAM and SSD is a far superior machine for only a little more money. This X441BA also has a slow hard drive compared to the X555QA's solid state drive (SSD), a constantly running fan, and the 14" screen leaves more to be desired. This is a decent computer for the rock bottom $200 price, but I exchanged it for the X555QA and I am much happier.

First off, you need to know that this does NOT come with a CD/DVD drive. it's clearly stated. So if you need an onboard CD/DVD drive, look elsewhere. That said, this is a decent laptop. I switched out the 500GB HDD for a 120GB solid state drive, and that makes a ton of difference. I would recommend doing that, as it's a quick solution to a pretty terrible included HDD. Also, the build quality... It's plastic. and not very rigid plastic. But at this price point, I believe that's to be expected. The mousepad is also very noisy when clicking, which may be an issue to some. (there's always the option of using gestures or tapping the pad rather than clicking). All in all, this is a good laptop if you can catch it on sale. The AMD processor seems to be doing fairly well, and the 4gb of RAM isn't going to let you do too much multi tasking, but it's enough for light browsing and editing of word documents. Oh, and the screen. It's 1366x768. If you're not familiar with how they look, familiarize yourself. They're not great. But this one isn't the worst I've seen.

We were looking for a couple of basic systems to run MS Office, internet, and email. Did not need a hi-tech gamer system. This computer met those requirements at a good price. They have been performing great since we got them. Money well spent.

First off, it's an entry level PC. No bells, no whistles, no gaming, no optical drive. All that out of the way, it says this is an A6 with and R5 integrated card, and this unit has an R4 integrated card. If that matters to you, do not buy this. Fortunately, we got this to bounce around on the web, and do some word processing and it was on sale pretty cheap so my wife just wants to keep the thing. Build quality is sub-par, but again, you get what you pay for. The plastic body does make it nice and light. Screen isn't going to win any awards but it is surprisingly nice. Speakers aren't great, but the get louder than many laptops but do not have a very full sound to them. Again for the price, the screen and sound aren't bad. If you're someone that looks at the specs, they don't even provide the correct information in the heading of the item, so be warned. I'm not usually an AMD fan, but so far this little thing chugs along pretty well, but stutters when there is a lot going on with a web site. Maybe because the graphics chip isn't the one they told me? Who knows...

Good overall performance, noisy fan, runs hot. Laptop is Okay for casual browsing and emails. Speakers sound very good, except there is noticeable static when starting up or sound levels are low, have not been able to correct problem.

This is a good basic unit with plenty of memory for my needs. It’s a little on the slow side, but it’s not unbearable. I just wanted something cheap and basic.

Got this as a birthday gift for my 10 year old. He loves having his own laptop and I loved the price. Perfect for his occasional online games and school work.

I had to replace a 10 year old computer that my wife used for basic computer use. We did not need nor want an expensive computer with the latest advanced technology. This computer is the perfect fix for an affordable basic computer for the home. My wife can manage her business finances, find recipes, keep up with emails, and search the web.

A great work computer for the price, but a little slow sometimes

I couldn’t pass up on the price in regards to specs. The bright screen and the USB-C port is what really sold me. The only point of contention is the 4GB of RAM. Windows 10 needs 8GB to be able to boot quickly and multitask, regardless of Processor or Hard Drive speed. But all in all, this configuration is great at this price point.

Our old HP died and we needed a new computer to read and send emails. Bought this model for about 280 on a Sat and the price went down on Sun to 219. Went back to Best Buy and received a refund. Great price on a low end computer which is still working. In case you're wondering, we did not buy and extended warranty

Slow, poor keyboard design permits hitting power button if you miss the delete key, a real issue, I removed power button key, tapped cardboard. Got what I paid for. Would recommend to novice.

I purchased this laptop for my mother to use for simple email and surfing the web. It was about $280. I had to borrow it to create training videos which were 1 hour each. I did 2 videos per day for 5 days a week. I was amazed of the storage capacity since I did this for about 4 months! The only downfall was the video and sound quality which was not good for fast movement and picking up a clear voice. That was okay though because I ended up using an external camera with a built in mic and then it was good. I would definitely recommend this laptop. I am going to get one for myself. I used the 60% setting for the battery which allowed me to keep it plugged in all the time and made the video screen brighter.

Works well as described. no disk hub but does have two usb ports to put an external disk drive. both usb ports are on the left side. I wish one was on right like my other computer. I have had no problems ith the laptop and for the price, well go for it

I love this little laptop. Its nice and light, holds charge well, and is a sleek looking computer! It's nothing fancy, but for general internet use it's great. The one thing I dislike is there isnt a spot to insert discs for like game downloads or that kind of thing but i believe you can find most of that stuff online now

Computer is good for the price. After you get rid of all the bloatware and change the power settings it runs fast enough to do the basics. The plastic body makes it feel a little cheap, but you get what you pay for in the lower cost laptops.
