The data transfer speed was great and it was charging my MacBook pretty well but later I had some issues charging some small stuff and it wasn’t charging with any power adopter I tried. I am going to try it couple more times if there is an issue I have to unfortunately return it. For 50$ 1m of wire I expected a better performance to be honest.

This did the trick. The guesswork needed to figure out which of my identical looking cables can handle high speed data was solved (the handy Thunderbolt logo is key).
