It's loud! I keep it on 13 and that's good enough for me. I'm hearing impaired so coming from me that's saying something. The color options on this is sure fire quality, so just get it already. I vouched and that's that.

I bought this TV in August when I moved into my new apartment. I had browsed Best Buy and other outlets and found this model on sale for $249. After spending way too much of the poor store clerk's time considering this and other models, I made my purchase and I couldn't be happier! The TV looks great, picture quality is fantastic, and set up was a piece of cake. Best of all, I haven't had a single problem with it in four months. Only small complaint is volume could be louder (considering purchase of a sound bar). Thanks, Best Buy, for a great TV at a great price!

very nice picture, light weight just the right size screen for me at 40 inches and very easy to set up and certainly would recommend TV set to others who are looking for a new TV and sales person was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Like Best Buy because employees know their business

Bought the TV on sale for Christmas. The out-of-the-box video settings were quite good. Simple to setup. The remote is kind of cheesy but it gets the job done. Overall very good.

This LG TV has terrific color, set up was fairly easy and was a great price. This is the 2nd LG 40" I have purchased in 2016!

I got the TV for $179, during Christmas season. I compared many others (32"-40") in the $200 price range, and found this one to be the best bang for the buck, for a 1080P 40". We haven't had it for long, but it's been great so far. You can find something wrong with any TV out there; no matter the brand; so it comes down to the features that you really need or want. I went with LG because they have a good reputation on quality. Yes, this TV doesn't have an audio out; which I don't like and think is fairly silly, but the speaker volume is fine for a bedroom. It doesn't have a bunch of inputs either, but how many do you really need? If I were to move it to a larger room, then I can just run the sources through a receiver with speakers, and then it'd have many more inputs available, and more than enough volume. After reading many articles and reviews, I opted to not get a Smart TV, for many reasons... Others able to hack into your home network through TV, connection issues, junky menus/apps, firmware issues, etc.. I could have gotten the LG 40" or the Insignia 40" with Smart Features, for the same prices; due to holiday pricing. I feel it's better to buy a good quality TV without Smart, and then just get a streaming device.. Apple TV, Roku, or Amazon Fire. I spent the money on Apple TV; due to Apple's quality, security, and software features.

This TV was purchased to go in a bedroom where it sees regular use. It was purchased on the recommendation of a Best Buy employee and price was a factor as well. For the price it has an excellent picture. The sound quality is nothing stellar, but perfectly fine for its purpose. The menu is easy to use and I would recommend this TV for anyone looking for a TV in this size/price range.

I've owned this TV for a few months now. I'm happy with it. Nice picture, good viewing angle. I wanted the higher resolution, the two HDMI ports, and the audio/video ports to connect a Roku, to connect an HDMI cable to my computer, and to connect a VCR/DVD. It has a convenient button to control things when you misplace the remote. The connections in back are annoying to get to if you have the TV up against the wall. You really have to pull it out. My *only* beef with this TV is the digital converter. (I have only over-the-air for this TV; no cable.) I was used to being able to get program info with my old TV and its external converter. With this built-in one, it tells me only the name of the show. No episode description. And it doesn't offer a program guide you can scroll through to see what's on without flipping channels. So i need to have my TV channel app nearby in order to get any info about what's on TV. I am still really annoyed by this--and it's nothing you can find out before buying.

Tv worked perfectly. It has a great picture and enough features for a basic, extra tv. It is very thin and light. We added a digital antenna and a fire stick to connect it to the internet for use outside in a cabana by the pool. It worked out great to watch the big game.

Overall we are pleased with this TV. It was easy to setup, has a good picture and good sound system. The only downside is we made the mistake of thinking all TV"s made now are "Smart TV"s" and this is NOT a Smart TV. Later, we found the price reduced another 25.00 in another source....

I bought this TV in Nov. 2016 and have not had any problems with it so far. I had been looking for a 40" screen to fit the space i had available. I like everything about it including the price.

Great TV! Still getting used to how clear it is. Super thin, too -- takes up way less space than our old tv that was an inch smaller. Nice to have Netflix & Amazon right on the TV, too

Purchased this tv for my daughter's bedroom. Planning on mounting to the wall with a swivel type mount. She likes to make movies and this tv fits the bill as far as size and picture clarity.

I produce this as a bedroom television upgrade from a 32". It was easier to set up and the menu structure is more logical and easier to use than it's competitors. Very pleased with the picture. It's lightweight without feeling "cheap" and would be a good candidate for wall mounting.

Ok its not a smart TV, but who cares. It has a nice picture and easy to connect. Arial antenna works great and picks up so many channels for free.

Tv has good picture nothing spectacular but for the price great value. Only complaint I have is with the remote, sometimes need to push buttons several times.
