Connection with Alexa is difficult

These lights respond well when using the app, but the connection to Alexa is hit and miss. Those that do eventually successfully connect are slow to respond to Alexa voice commands, by 10s of seconds. A few times I have had to ask Alexa to turn the lights on and off multiple times to get the results I was asking for. I like the color options. It makes it easy to set a celebratory mood, like Red, White, and Blue for the 4th of July. Even with the difficulty with Alexa (an issue that I do not have with my other smart lights, switches, and bulbs) I would still recommend them because of the easy app work around.

Regarding the intermittent response with Alexa, we'd recommend ensuring your downlights, the Nanoleaf app, and your Alexa devices are all running the latest firmware and software updates. If the issue persists, removing the lights from the Alexa app and linking them again can often help refresh the connection. If you're using the Matter version of the Essentials Downlights, also make sure your Matter controller and Thread Border Router are up to date for the best performance.

Daughter's Room - Now Colorful

Lights fit well into ceiling mount. I'm glad they provided a cardboard cutout of the hole size... other products make you cut it out on flimsy paper. The ability to get the lights back on wifi after losing power can be an issue. You'll need lots of patience and technical know how if you plan to get the full use out of these lights.
