Naoki Zushi - Iv - VINYL LP

The long-awaited CD reissue of 'Phenomenal Luciferin', a 1998 solo album by Naoki Zushi that has been rediscovered from a modern new age perspective in recent years, is now available on Sad Disco with the full support of Org Records and the artist!!Latest mastering from the original mixed DAT master instead of using the CD master from 1998!This is the extremely hard-to-find second solo work by Naoki Zushi, released in 1998 on the Shinji Shibayama-led Org Records tag. In contrast to the previous album 'Paradise,' which was recorded in only three days, 'Phenomenal Luciferin,' which featured three guests, Shinji Shibayama, Naoki's brother Masaki Zushi, and Kiyoshi Hashimoto, was recorded over a period of eight years, from 1990 to 1998. As with the recording of the same name, it pursues the concept of 'Pre-Meditative Music' and is deeply imbued with an awareness of the spiritual world. LISTEN //youtu. Be/-6i955yiFlISonglist1. Vinyl LP pressing includes . Sonderlust is an album forged through heartbreak. After his two previous studio albums (151a and Lighght) and hisString Quartet Live! , Kishi Bashi was at a musical impasse. InchAs I sat down to write songs last summer, I went to all my usual conduits of creation violin loops, guitar, piano, and I came up with the musical equivalent of fumes,Inch says K Ishibashi. InchI tried to create orchestral pop recordings that I assumed were my forte, and in turn I found myself standing in front of a creative wall of frightening heights.Inch At this very same moment of musical uncertainty, K's personal life was falling apart. He and his wife of 13 years had briefly separated and were struggling to keep their marriage together. In his own words, InchTouring and it's accompanying lifestyle took a heavy toll on my soul and my family.Inch As an outlet, K submerged himself in a new musical direction. Sonderlust emerged as a direct result of this personal struggle taking place at an artistic crossroads. With the help of producer Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear), engineer Pat Dillet (Angelique Kidjo, David Byrne) and drummer Matt Chamberlain (Morrissey, Fiona Apple, of Montreal), Kishi Bashi has created his most personal and artistically adventurous work to date. InchThis album is straight from my soul. I questioned everything about what it means to love and desire. The difference between loving someone and being in love.Inch
