This steamer comes with an attractive, 400-watt, stainless steel-wrapped heating base that holds 2 cups of water which allows for up to 60 minutes of steaming time. The 2 clear-plastic, BPA-free steaming bowls are ideal for separating different foods and the removable divider is ideal for corn or taller foods. The BPA-free 2-cup rice bowl fits in both steam trays and works great for eggs, tamales, and many other steamed dishes. The 2.5-qt steaming trays are great for family-sized portions and are clear plastic which means you can monitor your food without losing steam. This steamer provides added safety with a power indicator light, a 60-minute timer, and an automatic shutoff function in case the heating base runs out of water.
