A mere 1.15Lbs, It is small enough to fit on the table besides my laptop. Yet versatile and delivers good fast performance.

Item was very easy to install. I am not a terribly tech savvy person and I had it up and working in about 10 minutes. I've had it for about 8 or 9 months now and I've yet to have a single problem with it.

Modem installation was easy, product works very well for us.

I bought this modem because I got comcast/xfinity internet service. My ISP gives me 50 Mbps and this modem handles up to 340 so it works just fine. It's small and compact and out of sight.

I tried using the white Surfboard SB6141 and it did not work at all with Cox Cable. Customer support told me that a tech needed to come out. He was unable to do anything and recommended that i try this netgear modem because he's seen too many problems with the SB6141. This netgear modem was super easy to setup with zero problems getting it registered with Cox and I have tested speeds more than double the download and upload speeds of my old DOCSIS 2.0 modem.

Had to switch out my old modem, went with this one. Simple hook up, did have to call Cox to have it activated to their system, they had to manuely imput the modem's info to get it connected. other then that, price, size and performance is great

Yes really. Taking on Motorola surfboard with equivalent speeds and complete compatibility. This unit was cheaper than Motorola and delivers the equivalent. Thought I would try this as I have been a surfboard fan for years. No issues with installation and no problems! Just make sure that your cable provider has support for this as they control firmware updates and configurations.

When it comes to modems, the Netgear- Ethernet Docsis3.0 High Speed Cable Modem performs its intended function consistently; provides fast internet connection; plus it's initial installation takes only a few minutes. In addition, its great price makes it a smart investment. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone considering on purchasing a modem.

This is the best modem carried in store at my time of purchase for the price point. My parents activated basic time warner internet in they're home and this fit the bill for a low cost easy to connect and time warner compatible modem. Would recommend to anyone needing a no frills modem to keep things simple and reliable for years to come.

I used to have Verizon services and used their equipment and would lose signal constantly. When I moved and switched to Comcast I decided to use my own equipment and purchased this modem. It is easy to install, very reliable, and I haven't had even a weakened bandwidth, for the money I don't think I could have purchased a better modem.

Needed something to replace my comcast issued modem, since theirs is a ripoff. Didn't want to spend time ordering online for a just slightly marginally better deal for the specs so walked in the nearest BB and chose the best basic high speed option off the shelf. If you've really got a need for crazy fast speeds, and pay for the bandwidth to go with that (perhaps an all out full smart home, or you have nine devices streaming high def video every second of the day, etc) you'll probably want one of the slightly higher models of this. But for my two older parents and their internet service, this is perfect. Haven't had any issues yet, and setup was fairly easy. Did have to call comcast - but it was because I decided this was an easy pNp and didn't read the directions. Anyway, works well and setup was fast and easy.

My modem became outdated as we purchased it 6+ years ago. I kept putting it off until I absolutely had to buy a new one. I went online to research which modem would fit my needs without spending an arm & a leg. This modem & a Motorola modem both came up & had good reviews. When I got to store, I saw this & Motorola and was sold out. Motorola was the brand of my previous modem, but I knew this brand was just as good. When I called our internet provider (Xfinity), technician said it would take 10-15 mins for everything to go through and be verified; this took about 5 mins. This modem is great, priced well, and takes our internet speed of 150mbps without an issue.

This modem from Netgear has everything you need for high speed cable (Dociss 3.0), My only criticism is that you only have 3 ports. One is for your coaxial cable, another for the Ethernet cable, and its own power cord. That's really all you need unless you have multiple devices, no Wifi or no router. It does not have a wireless router built into it, but who says you need one? This modem is great for just about any anyone who wants to stop paying their cable company for renting their equipment. That's why I purchased it. I'll get my money back from paying cable rental fees in less than 7 months, and then my modem will essentially have paid for itself. It's easy to set up in about 5 minutes, too.

I previously had a dlink modem that was about 7 years old. I decided to upgrade to take advantage of a faster internet connection I now have, and as I had already purchased a Netgear wireless router about a year ago, I decided to get a Netgear modem as well. I had some trouble with the initial setup as my modem worked directly connected to my laptop, but would not work with the wireless router. I called Netgear and found out that they only offer complimentary support service for 12 months. As I purchased my router over a year ago, I was out of luck. After I expressed my frustration with this rule and indicated that I was a loyal Netgear customer and just purchased another one of their products, the agent agreed to offer me complimentary assistance and helped me to reset my model and router so that they would work together. After that my modem has worked well. I have an up to 75 Mbps internet plan from Comcast and have an actual download speed of about 30 Mbps when tested over the wireless connection (I have not tested through the ethernet connection yet).

Recently I had exchanged this modem for a "Zoom - DOCSIS 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem - Black" due to internet issues I was having, however this exchange was based on Comcast convincing me the problems with my internet was with the modem -- and not their service -- and they recommended that I return and exchange the modem for another. This didn't fix the issue as the problem was with Comcast, however I will share my experience with this modem since it was a pretty good modem. Basically, it's a Cable Modem and it does its job. It has a nice and sturdy, attractive and sleek look and feel to it. I bought a Netgear Wireless Router to go along with it and they complimented each other very well, especially when standing vertically. This doesn't have built-in WiFi and only has one port to connect to a computer or router. It's extremely simple to setup. In fact the only amount of complexity with using this modem is calling up Comcast to provision it for use, but even then it takes about 10 or so minutes. Just be sure to have your MAC Address on hand so you don't have to move the router around again trying to get to it. The admin interface on this device is either for changing your modem's password and viewing logs, nothing special. The only problem I had with the modem is when Comcast's signal dropped or was disrupted, the modem would take a long time trying to reestablish a connection. Manually power cycling would connect much quicker. If it wasn't for Comcast's inability to fix issues on their end, I'd have kept this modem; like I said, I exchanged it for another because they recommended I did, even though the problem was them, not Netgear. I do recommend this modem!

Extremely happy with this purchase. It's fast and easily compatible with our Comcast internet service. I already owned a router when Comcast tried to push an internet gateway on us. They weren't clear about replacing our slower modem with a gateway. They made it seem as though they were just going to replace the modem only. After sending back the gateway I bought this modem and reconnected our router and restored our household network in about 15 min. I called Comcast to register the modem rather than doing it online. No complaints with this product. We have the premium starter from Comcast. Not sure how this would work at higher speeds.

Very good modem and very reasonably priced. Compact and easy to install. Works with Time Warner and other Internet providers. Purchased this modem to do away with paying a $10.00 a month lease to TW. This modem will pay for itself in 5 months. The modem speed is as fast or somewhat faster than the TW modem.

I have Time Warner Cable and had been leasing one of there modems but after several dropped connections and several tech visits I decided to purchase my own. After doing a little research on what was best for my needs I purchased this Netgear modem and wow what an improvement. Connection is always good and I've noticed increased speeds. The setup was super easy, just called twc an gave them the modem info and pretty much plug an play.

This modem does exactly what it needs to do. I found it on Comcast's list of compatible equipment. It's specs are beyond what I needed for the speeds I'm paying for, but it should be good for years to come. It was essentially plug and play; it automatically registered itself with my isp and a few minutes later I was in business. It's small and has the option of laying down or standing on feet. Very nice product.
