Versatile and fast Wi-Fi for Desktop

My new home does not have wired connections in every room. I needed a wi-fi adapter for my HP Z4 Tower. Device installed quickly and I was up and running in a few minutes. Initial speed was intermittent and setup used IP6. After turning off IP6 and selecting IP4 on the adapter settings throughput and speed improved dramatically. It's been rock solid ever since and I've used it for several months now without any interruptions.

Good but not great product in my opinion

It's a good product but lacks instructions to disable the motherboard's wifi function. If you don't disable the motherboard function then it does not work because it will default to the motherboard. In addition, something weird is that it will stop working and disconnect from your wireless router for som reason. I would have to turn "off" the computer for it to reboot. Then I got a bright idea. I just pulled it out of the usb slot and reinserted and it rebooted as a plugged it back in ans started to work again. Mixed opinion on rebuying. It defaults to the lowest speed but much faster than the motherboard supplied, two srew in antennas.

    Wifi adapter

Works perfectly since install! Would recommend if your router is on the other side of your living space from your setup.
