I recently just built a gaming PC. Trying to be on a budget I got a motherboard without WIFI. But, let me be the first to tell you it's not all about having straight ethernet connection. I'm not close enough to set up with direct connection. But having this little handy Nighthawk is ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!! Not to mention it also has a magnet on the stand which is awesome. The setup is SUPER EASY. You really can't mess it up. Hook it up, download the software, find your connection and you're on the web in seconds. Ease of use is a terrific five stars. My download and upload speeds are GREAT! I never lag with games such as Warzone, Overwatch, and Siege. I highly recommend this to anyone trying to find something easy and great!! 5 out of 5 stars!

After updating to Windows 11 a few weeks ago (under the Insider program) I have had horrid Internet speeds and it has been getting worse. I was hoping an update would fix it. My existing card, a USB WiFi TechKey AC1600 worked great until W-11. I tried new drivers, no good. So... I bought the Netgear Nighthawk and my speeds went from about 3.3Mbps download / 1.0 upload, to a poor, but better, 22.5-ish Mbps download and 2.0Mbps upload. This was radically better but even so, better is not acceptable and I was still lagging well behind what I had just a few weeks ago with Windows 10. So... back to BestBuy and upgraded my Orbit RBK553 to the RBK853. Wow, that was a radical change and made great improvements even in my far away workshop. Okay, 'radical' again is now only up to the promised speeds by Spectrum in my not-so-rural but old-school-copper-cable neighborhood. Now, with these two hardware updates in place, I have speeds of 65.5Mbps download and 5.71Mbps upload. This is where it was when I moved here so now I am back to normal. Yay for Netgear, disappointing for Microsoft's claimed Internet improvements with Windows 11. Now that I am back up to speed, I have no excuses not to get back to work and also back to designing on Fusion 360... sigh.

Do not install the Netgear Genie, just use the standalone driver installer. On my 850/900 (as tested with ethernet) internet I'm getting around 110/73 which is plenty for me over wifi I have a Nighthawk X10 router and it's probably around 30 feet and two walls between the computer and the router. This will do until I have the effort to run ethernet.

Once I got the proper software loaded for this it picked up my network right away. The software is a little glitchy but I found the correct software and driver package online at Netgear. Improved signal strength over the old unit! Size is larger but not intrusive. Sturdy base.

The wifi dongle that came with my computer kept disconnecting, so I upgraded to this. It's worked perfectly and i never have to worry about losing my internet connection in the middle of whatever I'm working on anymore. I was initially concerned about the size, but because there's a cradle, it can go wherever's convenient instead of having to stick directly out of the computer.

This purchase worked for me. I didn't want to replace internal NIC and this provides me with the dual band I wanted. WiFi internet speed averages at 250mbps with multiple devices in a 1k square footage area.

I do love this adapter it’s small enough to fit almost anywhere!! Holds a very stable and strong connection. Yet If left plugged in when device is powered off It my struggle holding a stable connection after powering on. I found unplugging and plugging back in after device is fully booted up helps or leave the auto connect option off. Other than that it’s a solid adapter!!

Your service team at the Gresham Oregon store did a fantastic job of helping me find the right product. The product it’s self is fantastic easy to use and is giving me my best possible bandwidth for my pc the only issue I had with is was the price but I quickly accepted and understood why as is has proven to me that it is a fantastic Wi-Fi adapter.

It does the job, after following the instructions and downloading the driver, I pretty much forget it's even there. I really like the stand that comes with it, as I don't have a lot of space for something that wide and long behind my computer.

Works perfectly! I had a base level gaming pc and when the adaptors that came with it didnt do the trick i bought this. It worked perfectly! I was renting a room at the time upstairs with the router downstairs in the basement. I had perfect connection after using this.

I’d read several reviews prior to my purchase, I was so confused on what to get. So I decided to go in-store to speak with an associate. He’d suggested this item. Turns out it was a great buy! My router is downstairs. If I had to guess how far, I’d guess I’d say 20ft away. The signal is always really strong, videos don’t lag. I’ve had it for about 6 months.

Purchased this after moving to a house where my room wasn’t able to get a Ethernet connection for my router through the wall and it was only available upstairs. My Gaming PC’s motherboard isn’t equipped with a Wi-Fi card so this was the perfect solution. Extremely fast connection to my router that’s upstairs. 84$ isn’t bad at all for a product that works this well and set up is very easy. Hardly write reviews but I’m very pleased with it.

This adapter works really well. You just have to remember that it's not as plug and play; you will need to install the driver first. After that it works really well and allowed me to pick up and use quite easily a weak 5ghz channel that my phone struggles to even see.

I have a symmetrical 100MBPS FIOS connection from Verizon. I swapped the Nighthawk with my PCI network adapter and doubled my download. No other settings changed and tests completed back to back (enable one device, then the other). I hope it holds up over time, but so far, the device meets my expectations to make full use of my connection. Note: I have the adapter in its magnetic cradle on a shelf on my computer desk.

If you need to play online (pc,Xbox, or ps5) and can’t connect straight to your router… this is what you need trust me !!!! This works amazing ! No lag no nothing thanks god for this !

Best WiFi adapter I’ve owned. Easy to install. What I received must be a newer model because it looks different from the online photo. I’ll include a picture of mine below. It has a magnetic base and about a theee foot long cord.

Best WiFi adapter out there. Located in basement and no issues. Like the included stand.

Very good. Just have to install the software for it to work. It comes with a disk but instead I just downloaded it from their site. It really does have fast connection. Ping is very low in-game.

I purchased this item because my office is in a spot where i have problems getting a good wifi signal. This adaptor solved the problem pulls in a good signal. If you are looking for an unabtrusive little wifi dongle look elsewhere this is a big unit but it does a great job
