I, like many others, have needed to work exclusively at home due to the pandemic. I had just moved into a new home, and the WiFi router provided to me from my ISP was a big, fat frowny face. Even thirty feet away, my signal strength was more than lacking, and getting all of my Ring security devices connected was becoming problematic. In general, I don't believe in silver bullets, but the NETGEAR - Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 Router is a true superhero, literally faster (not sure) than a speeding bullet, with connectivity stronger than The Man of Steel himself. Setup was a breeze. I first uploaded the Nighthawk app, reset my modem, plugged the router to the modem, waited a few minutes, followed prompts on the app, and within 15 minutes, my devices were all connected and flying with new confidence. I was physically connected via Ethernet to my old router, and my speeds were just over 400 Mbps. With this new router, I'm getting the same speeds, WIRELESSLY. Amazing. I cannot recommend this enough. (NOTE: my ISP is Spectrum, in case you're curious about compatibility).

I've always been quite fond of Netgear routers. The Nighthawk does not disappoint! The 5ghz signal is working with my 300+mbps speed with no problem! And it's able to deal with my excessive smart home items just fine! I've got about a dozen or so pieces of tech running on my 2.4 network and save the faster one for things like my laptop and phone. Attached screenshot is from my phone over the 5ghz network. Just remember, your speed will always only be as fast as your slowest bottleneck!

Super fast and reliable! Our older Orbi went out of us so we did some research and found this Router. It’s been a while since I’ve set one up and honestly... it was pretty easy and I installed it on the wall behind the 80 inch tv. Love it!

Easy setup thru app, can handle 5 smart tvs, 1 pc, 2 Xbox games systems and all our devices with no problem or lag. Great purchase! No contact, curbside pick up was very convenient.

I have used this router for about a year now and have had no issues. You can download an app (IOS or Android) that gives you control over devices connected on your network. Simple toggle controls in the app let you turn off devices on the fly(for when one of your children needs to do some homework) Fast network speeds with good range. Would recommend.

Internet and wifi is important at our house as we do a lot of gaming - Xbox, mobile, and PC. I had an Asus model that was very similar but it locked up and I could not save it. So I researched the Netgear Nighthawk AC2300. It had good reviews and it was on sale. We are pleased with its performance overall. The only possible issue is its' overall wifi range isn't quite as good as the Asus but the difference is slight. It has 4 ethernet wired connections and two USB connections and that is pretty common. It also has clear markings and lights to tell you about connections and activity. There is an app you can put on your phone to manage your network too. Overall I am pleased and zero problems. I recommend this router.

I bought a Linksys and that thing was a piece of garbage. It was blinking all the time kicking me out of the internet. I had enough of it and returned it to Best Buy thank God Best Buy is always a help and always have the best knowledge and employees. With the help of one of their employees I got this one and it work perfectly... I’m happy with my purchase.

I bought this router since I will be moving to my new house soon. It’s very easy to install, you just need to download the Nighthawk app and follow the instructions. Haven’t had a drop since I installed it.

This is easy to set up. Works great , faster and no more loosing internet connection and having to re-router! Fits easily on top my desktop, and transmits through the whole house.

Router was a little hard logging into hardwired to change configurations. Once connected my devices has been kicked of network or disconnected every 20 min. Connection solid for weeks now with no connectivity problems!!! Should have bought years ago. Wireless range covers all 3300 square ft of home. Once app fully configured makes changes to router so easily!!!!

I was looking to upgrade my old outdated router and chose this one on a friend's recommendation. Reaches upstairs without any problem. Love it.

Worked great. Easy to setup and configure. Installed for customer and they were getting good wifi signal from within their building.

We like it, the speed is faster than our old wireless router. No issues.

Under the "features" of the router, it states you can set up parental controls with Circle Smart Parental Controls. NO WHERE does it mention this service is $50 per year. I replaced a 4 year old Linksys router to be able to have more features. My Linksys router had a better signal.

I've had the device now for several weeks. The 5G is amazing. I'm supposed to get 150/10 mbps through my ISP. With the 5ghz band I get 165/12 and the 2.4ghz band has always been a problem. It will vary from as low as 40/12 mbps to 112/12. For the amount of money your paying for this router, buy another.

I got the R7500v2 router currently and this was sent to me by Netgear as a review through Friends and Family program. The setup is very straight forward. 1. Once you open the box and connect the three antenna 2. Make a note of the WiFi SSID and Password 3. Plug the router into the internet modem and plug all the device that need use the cat5 connection. 4. Power on the Moden and the router 5. on your laptop click on the wifi to search for the SSID (Netgear996) connect to it. 6. Follow the on screen instruction within less than 5 minutes you should be online surfing the net. Read more in the setup to setup the parent control. Router performance is very good it had been wifi speed test my current R7500v2. I had been using for more than three days without any issue. I will monitor and update more review later. The Feature is a very user-friendly interface, I was able to setup everything with the web-GUI interface, I also tried to use the Android app to setup and it was very simple. The price seems right for the product performance and reliable router. This product meets my expectation performance up until now. Will perform more test and update later next week.
