I have had this device for a few weeks now and so far so good. There are a few bumps in the setup and understanding of how to get service with this device. After that, it was smooth sailing after. Some info out there said you can connect with a non-contract mobile carrier. I had no luck with that and decided to take my unlocked Hotspot to my cell provider. They inserted the SIM card in the back of the device, and I was set up. So far 50Gb has been fine even though I haven't had it for a full month yet. It will depend on how much you will use it. After, getting the SIM card the setup was fairly straightforward. You could change your passwords to get access. I used the Netgear Mobile App which was easy to use. The only thing is you have to be connected to the mobile hotspot to gain access. Can't use this app elsewhere to check when you're away. I mainly use it to connect my Google Home Mini, Google Chromecast, and Ring Stick-up Camera. When I connected my cell phone it used a lot of data alone compared to the other devices. One bad thing about this device is that the battery stinks. On a full charge, it lasted about 13 hours before I had to plug it back in. If you charge it during the night and unplug during the day it seems to be fine. Battery life may vary due to usage. This device does show a green visual bar on the left as its percentage of charge. The blue visual bar on the right is for data usage. So far with AT&T, it has not worked. Overall, I think this device works well for what I need it to be while traveling for work. I have also played a few rounds of Call of Duty Multiplayer and had no issues. Usage still varies so keep in mind.

Using this with AT&T and getting amazing coverage on the go, ethernet port makes it even better if you're using a laptop, battery life is a little lacking but overall worth the investment

We have used these Nighthawk Netgear hotspots for several of our project sites and they work great. No issues with several computers connected. This is a great device if you want something reliable.

This unit is our only wifi hot spot at our home with AT&T service for our cell and computers for internet. It was not so easy to setup when we transferred the sim card to the new unit we had no internet to do setup. We made a trip back to BestBuy and one of the Manager Techs (I think Marcus?) assisted us with cell phones and laptop connection. The girl who sold it to us expressed it would be easier?! Secret is to download the app and follow the prompts. The app will be your primary connection to make changes. Once connected our signal did improve, however after a month now we will need some boosters for a stronger signal.

I have had this device for over a year and completely love it. I use it in my home in another state because it is cheaper for me to hook up my security cameras to a hotspot than to pay for home internet service. The fact that this device has an Ethernet port was the primary reason I bought this because the security cameras I bought had to be plugged into a port. The device is fast and reliable.

The Nighthawk was packaged with all needed attachments and instructions. Extremely easy installation and no problems getting stared. Set up was a breeze and performance has been great. Comes with battery but will run with power cord and battery removed to keep from overcharging and damaging battery from heat. Have been very happy with it's performance. Works all over the house with no other routers needed.

I have had one of these for the last 2 1/2 years and loved it as we had no high speed internet that was dependable. Then my old one started just rebooting about every 2-10 minutes which made it unuseable tried getting new firmware upgrade but nothing worked. So I had gotten a 3 year extened warranty with mine so I decided to get another one. Wow it made all the difference. Newer firmware 12.06.11.00 no reboots and I am now getting 120 to 200 download.

The product never gets good speeds and thus it is essentially useless as a travel mobile hotspot. If you want to buy this to travel for longer than the 15 day return policy DO NOT BUY. We purchased this for our travels only to find out that we did not get any good or useful coverage when our phones and other devices, on the same network, worked flawlessly. Given when we got back it was past the 15 day return policy we essentially have a $200 e-waste paperweight. Should we have done more extensive testing? Sure, but you never know how it will perform in other locations for traveling until you go and do it. Technical issues: Living in a major tech hub I get full bars of 5G and 4G LTE on all my other devices for both Verizon and Google Fi. This device...2 bars of 4G LTE no matter where I travel to. Google Fi out of the box does not work without a manual APN configuration but I did that using APN "h2g2". I can connect to Google Fi but still only 2 bars. Installing a Verizon SIM card automatically detected the network and set up the APN correctly but we still never found it to get more than 2 bars of LTE. Ultimately do not buy this. Find some other cheaper product that does 4G LTE or better yet 5G.

Works faster than my old one. I can connect more devices at one time. The directions on how to setup it up could’ve been a little clearer

I highly recommend this wireless hotspot. I've used it throughout 2021 while having to travel, move, and tend to family things around the country. It's not a magic device - you're still at the mercy of wireless carrier data plans, costs, and distance to towers. But I've been using an ATT SIM card and plan and have been happy. It's solid for a day away from the home wifi (park, beach, car, etc.) and do all the work and browsing I need paired with an occasional Zoom call. I've read about different ways to get deeper into the device's setting and change the band channels, find low-rate data plans, etc. but haven't felt the need to hack and mod this thing yet. So far, so good. I previously had a work-provided Verizon hotspot for 3 years and seemed to constantly have connectivity issues. I have't had one yet with this Netgear hotspot + ATT.

This is the most amazing hotspot router that I have ever had. Incredibly good signal and a handsome, compact size. My only complaint is that the screen is, alas, not a touch-screen, and the device requires you to hit a button multiple times to toggle through the options.

I stay in an rv park that doesn't offer wifi in the area I am set up. This netgear hot spot works perfect. I feel secure using it and I haven't been bumped offline or had any negative issues while using it. It is well worth the money. Most services want you to rent there equipment and you end up paying way mire in the long run

Works great! Signed up with a T-Mobile plan and use this in the home and in the car when on road trips. Easy to set up, battery lasts about 24 hours even with multiple devices hooked up to it.

This is a really great mobile router!! I live in a rural “dead” zone when it comes to internet access and this mighty router never failed me for internet connection. With one bar of reception I could run 3 devices and get good internet connection.

Works as advertised! Be sure you a get your carrier to configure your sim as a proper hotspot. Most notably tmobile. I direct connected to my tv via ethernet port works well.

Unless you are a long-time user of VOIP phone systems, or hotspots, this product could prove misleading. A. Unassigned M1 routers do not come with a SIM card, unless stated on package/listing as AT&T-ready, etc. B. You must assign a phone number to the hot spot router with an LTE service provider, and prepay or choose pay monthly. Some reviewers on YouTube recommended prepaid plans, with unlimited data. C. This tool looks sleek, but speeds may not get you to as high speed or bandwidth as you might have hoped for. D. If you want to try it out, pique your curiosity, go for it! Or, check the Vlog reviews, first.

It is a great device for its value. However, the connectivity would depend on who you have the service plan with and the type of plan that you put on it. I travel to Peru and it did not work in there because I didn’t have the AT&T international plan but it works great in North Carolina.

The device is not set up for use right away. Thankfully I had a Best Buy tech named Cody that knew to program it because he had to do it with his. At&t won't help you but you need their sim card for it. It was a hassle. I had to purchase a FireTV stick as well. Too expensive to just watch Disney+
