This is great wifi adaptor and fast internet after using it

This item was purchased to replace one that I had for about three years and was going bad. If should have been very simple to switch out since it was the same brand as the old one. I had to call my son over who is very good at working on computers, and he spent over an hour trying to get it to load up and work. The instructions included did not help and the CD disc would not even work. It is finally working, but I would have never been able to do it myself. Very disappointed in this Netgear product.

I needed to install WiFi to an older computer. This WiFi adapter installed easily, and works flawlessly. We're in a large steel building with metal studding in the walls, yet the Netgear Rangemax works great. And it was priced very reasonably!

Purchased this to replace an old and faulting wireless network card. The installation and set-up was very straight forward and easy. Signal strength reads stronger than the network card I replaced. Was up and running in a matter of minutes and it even recognizes Wi-Fi updates and prompts to download/install them.

It installed and ran on the first try been using it ever since. Speed is good for uploads and downloads. Frankly, until being asked to review IIt sometime later after I bought it, I had forgotten it is was there running my PC on the wireless network with no issues.

Works well on 2.4 and 5 Ghz. Works on all my computers including my iPad, Samsung tab, old iPhone, and other tablets. Easy setup. Software package is good. I get maximum throughput for my internet connection (60Mb/sec for my Comcast connection).

Good little wi-fi adapter here. Easy set up, good connection. Have it set up 2 rooms away from router and it's been working good , even on HD videos. Glad I didn't spend more on the faster wi-fi adapter.

I've had my desktop now for three years and finally got tired of looking at my ugly, grey, Ethernet cable running through my entire house, so I decided to look for a wireless USB adapter. I couldn't have asked for a better one. It was between Netgear and Cisco, but a few friends of mine persuaded me to go with Netgear - and I couldn't be happier! Set-up literally took less than three minutes and the connection is incredible (almost seems faster than when I was wired up, believe it or not), and no interference whatsoever! Great product, worth the money, fast set-up - what are you waiting for?! :D

This WIFI adapter has performed well. It has shown good range and fast connections. The device was easily installed. If you are looking for a USB connector this one is recommended.

Had to return the 1st item I bought and get the one I am reviewing, 1st one did not work out of the box. This one works great.

It was easy to install and works at a long distance from the router. Not as reliable as I was hoping. I lose internet connection on occasion and have to unplug it and plug it back in but that is a small problem for the low price.

I had to replace my older wifi adapter for a desktop since it was not Windows 10 compatible. This unit is definitively compatible with both Windows 7 and Windows 10. Setup was pretty easy. I loaded the driver and then installed the device and it was as simple as that. Running smooth since with no problems ever having a connection. Solid performance and I've renewed my continued support of Netgear products with this upgrade.

I needed a new wifi adapter for my old computer in my home office in the back of the house. This is primarily used for Internet searches, printing and remote access to my office computer. It works great for those tasks. The range and speed are good. Im not using it for movie streaming or gaming so I can't comment on those items. But for a fairly inexpensive adapter it gets the work done.

Great connectivity. Fast, reliable and stable. Just what I was looking for.

Bought this to connect a laptop to a 5 ghz network. The onboard WLAN card could only connect at 2.4 ghz and the connection was not consistent. Installation of this adapter and software was quick and easy. After installation, it connects with no issues and stays connected. It's been used daily for several weeks now and has not dropped connection once. Couldn't ask for anything more...great value!

Have this wifi USB device within about 20 feet of our router, so not much of a challenge. It works as described and setup was easy because I have a Netgear router. I like that it comes with the USB cable so that the USB device doesn't hang off the front or back of the computer waiting to get bumped and broken, I can just lay it on top of the tower thanks to the included USB cable.

I have tried many different items, products and ways to get my desktop an even usable wifi connection. The modem and router were plenty strong to where I could pick up signal 2-3 houses down, but not in bedroom. Something in walls interfering and no other product worked til now. This was SUPER easy to install and have had NO problem picking up a signal now.

It works as it should: Fast, glitch free data transfer, especially on 5 GHz Quick to re-establish connection on waking from sleep mode Once installed, nothing to fuss with, just works so you can get on with your life. It was very easy to install, although I do suggest you install only the device driver, an option Netgear thankfully makes available. I am not a fan of the bloatware packaged with this and other Wifi adapters that merely replicate what the operating system can already do and adds no real functionality or usefulness. My only complaint is I wish the unit was slimmer in physical size. A bit of a blimp compared to most other USB devices these days, necessitating the use of the included extension cable.

WIFI stick by NetGear is fast and easy to set up. I had to install it several times at first but I think it was my computer not the device. Directions for set up are very simple and easy. Process is fast and I began using the internet right away after set up. Maximum setup time 5 minutes at the most. No issues after set-up
