About this product
Neutral's 2014 1st LP, Grå Våg Gamlestaden, is widely considered ground zero for the explosion of creativity that has transpired in the Swedish Underground ever since. It is the noisy experimental rock album that opened the door and welcomed in so many artists working behind the scenes. Gothenburgers Dan Johansson (Sewer Election) and Sofie Herner had previously made music together in the band Källarbarnen when they started discussing a new methodology and a fresh sound for recordings under a new name as a duo. Grapefruit was proud to reissue that first LP in 2021 and they are equally excited to follow up that sold-out with two more important Neutral releases, the self-titled sophomore LP from 2016 in a gatefold sleeve and the När mini album EP from 2017 which was originally limited to 300 copies.Grapefruit's reissue of the När mini album and the 2nd LP is the first time these have been reissued. Both are limited to 400 copies.

Limited yellow colored vinyl LP pressing. While most of the bands (Orpheus, Ultimate Spinach, Beacon Street Union) associated with producer Alan Lorber's InchBosstown SoundInch signed with MGM Records, Listening recorded their only album in 1968 with Vanguard. And it's a highly prized one, at that, with original copies selling for triple figures. One reason for that is, unlike many of their more poppy Boston-based peers, Listening boasted an original, swirling, hard-edged sound, full of jazzy and even proggy passages, and keyboardist/singer/songwriter Michael Tschudin's lyrics were openly countercultural. That's future (post-Lou Reed) Velvet Underground member Walter Powers on bass, and blues wunderkind Peter Malick on guitar. A talented band, underappreciated at the time... in other words, right up our Real Gone alley! Coke clear with yellow swirl vinyl pressing, limited to 700 copies. Album Tracks 1. You're Not There 2. Laugh at the Stars 3. 9/8 Song 4. Stoned Is 5. Forget It, Man! 6. I Can Teach You 7. So Happy 8. Cuando 9. Baby Where Are You? 10. Fantasy 11. See You Again
