NEXT - 96ft Gym Flooring Exercise Mats - Black

Q: How much ground does this actually cover?? There are so many different measurements listed. I just need to know how much ground this covers once assembled. Thanks

A: The squares are 2x2feet and you get 6 jumbo squares. Mine covers the floor under my proform sport treadmill with a little extra space on the sides but the front and back of the treadmill are cutting it close .. that's it.

Q: 3/4 “ thick?

A: It's 0.5in according to the packaging.

Q: Does the bottom of these tiles have the same texture pattern as the top (shown in the pictures). Or is the bottom smooth? Can you show a picture of the bottom? Thank you

A: The bottom is smooth… check out the pic.

Q: Considering this to cover an area for our kids to practice soccer in our basement. Do these provide sufficient cushioning to absorb falls on a concrete basement floor? And do these slide around at all or do they stay in place?

A: I have mine on top of hardwood floors and there is no sliding. Gives a lot of cushing. The 96 ft.² only fit an 8 x 12‘ space in my living room so you may need to buy quite a few packs of these to fill the space you need.

Q: I am trying to see if these mats are good for training and exercising on barefoot. I am mainly looking to use these for a martial arts training, and many of the forms require sliding your feet across the ground. Will these work for this?

A: The mats MAY be good for this. However, it all depends on how slippery or grippery the flooring us underneath it. If you have martial arts training going on where there are alot of forces being exerted downward, then these mats MAY slide around. With that being said you could plan out your pattern, then use a product like Alien Tape and stick these mats down, and then I think you would be good to go. The interlocking mechanusms of these mats works great. You will see the pieces are interchangeable. I hope this helps.

Q: Could this be used on an office floor with chair that has wheels?

A: Probably not. It’s not quite dense enough for an office chair.

Q: Do the floor mats have an odor or distinct smell?

A: No smell. We installed them two weeks ago and that was a concern we had as well. They do not have any odors we noticed.

Q: Are these mats really ugly? The space I'm turning into my gym was going to be my shabby chic she-shed. I decided I needed a gym more so am putting my exercise equipment in this room instead. From the pics, these mats look like tire treads.

A: These are not designer mats. They have an industrial look and are fine in my basement.
