Just about everything that was in need of tweaking from the past 2 years, has been fixed and then some. Collision and puck physics are amazing. The offensive and defensive AI are much more improved. A ton of new goalie save animations that look very realistic. Skating and checking animations are silky smooth and really give your players a sense of weight on the ice. No more sliding around. I recommend checking out OperationSports.com in their NHL 20 forum. It was here that I was able to find some amazing slider / gameplay sets to make the game stats and gameplay feel just right. Out of the box, the settings/sliders are way too over blown, which causes the game stats to be a little too arcadey. For a true simulation experience, check out the sliders and gameplay settings on Operationsports.com and plug them in. You will see what I mean. It makes the game feel completely different and super realistic with the right adjustments. The only gripe I have, is that I still see some generic faces on several well known players, other than that. I love this game!!!

I haven't played or owned past versions of EA Sports NHL games, so I can't compare it to previous versions. I debated between getting NHL 19 and NHL 20, but I settled on NHL 20 because it was on sale during Black Friday. I really like hockey, so it's been a fun game to play. The controls haven't been as complex to learn as NBA2K20. The graphics are also good. All in all it is a very fun game!

NHL 20 is what you would expect. A fun hockey game that slightly builds on the improvements made over the last edition. Customization of character is a bit confusing as cosmetics are abundant. The menu screens can lag at times but overall easy to navigate. I never regret buy EA NHL titles because I always find the game play fun and challenging.

Love all the EA sports games. NHL is my favorite and this edition didn't disappoint me at all. Still learning the game and look forward to many matches with my favorite teams and players. The price was right too!

This is a fun game! Lots of different modes to play in. Couch co op or online co op modes are both here. Great graphics and really cool stick controls now. Best buys curb pick up was fast, easy, and safe. And got for a great price. Thanks!

Excellent experience with NHL 20. The graphics are superb but what's really impressive is the A.I., the game truly is unpredictable and the A.I. opponents really are hard to predict. Great game!

The controls are not too difficult to learn, and the game is very realistic, very much like a real NHL game with players and game settings. Once you learn how to pass well and when to shoot a slapshot versus backhand/quick wrist shot you'll have a lot of fun playing this game.

I think every NHL fan gets the new release every year but I recently got an Xbox so this was revolutionary. Game modes are fun but menu navigation kinda stinks.

NHL 20 Standard Edition - Xbox One I give it a thumbs up! I did however pay less than $10 for it on sale or clearance........that may cause me to be more forgiving of any issues.

I have bought all the NHL's starting back in the early 00s and each year there are simple updates either to the game play and/or the graphics and NHL 2020 was one of the biggest changes yet. The game is solid, it's a little faster than 'normal real game' speed, but overall it's the best NHL to date and I'd def recommend!

Game is fun if you like hockey. Like ALL games bugs are in the game. Graffics on some cards are pixelated some shots in the game. Game play is smooth compared to Madden. I think the HUT solos are good and the rewards are pretty good. Madden should take note to the better rewards. Franchise mode is also fun. Other modes still yet to be played. All in all fun game.

no big changes. waited to get it on sale. poke-checking and one-timers are still rediculous.

I think my first EA NHL game was NHL99 and I have owned every one since. This game, like all the others, takes it up one more notch to provide fast action and solid skills. If you had a go to move in NHL19, hope the goalies haven't figured it out in NHL 20 but there's a chance. Great addition to the collection!
