Q: Is it compatible with D3500 ?

A: The AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D Macro Lens will fit on the Nikon D3500 and will work, but you will have to manually focus this lens. AF type lenses will need to be manually focused on the D3500, whereas AF-S and AF-P type lenses will be able to auto-focus.

Q: Will this fit on the Nikon D800

A: Yes. The Nikon AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D Macro lens will fit and is fully compatible with the Nikon D800 DSLR camera. This versatile lens is ideal for general close-ups, portraits, landscapes, copy work and more and delivers stunning, life-size images.

Q: will this fit on a d3400??? how does this compare to any other macro lens for clarity?

A: Yes, the AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D Macro Lens will fit on the D3400, however you will need to manually focus this lens. The D3400 can autofocus with AF-S and AF-P type lenses.

Q: I am using my D3500 camera for intraoral pictures in Dentistry, this is my first camera and macro lens. Would you recomend this lens or the AF-S Micro Nikkor 60 mm f/2 ED ? thanks a lot, I am very confused.

A: Both lenses will provide you with the necessary close up shots you may need. The main difference between these lenses will be their compatibility with the Nikon D3500. While both lenses will fit, the AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D Lens will not have autofocus capabilities on the D3500, this is due to the lens not having a built in focus motor. On the other hand, the AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED Macro Lens will be fully compatible and offer autofocus as it will have its own built-in focus motor. Nikon lenses named as AF-S or AF-P will be able to autofocus on the D3500, where as lenses that only say AF will not.

Q: Will this lens fit a Nikon D5000?

A: The AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D Macro Lens will fit on the Nikon D5000 as a manual focus lens. The D5000 lacks a built-in focus motor so AF-type lenses are unable to utilize auto focus on this camera. Additionally, spot metering with G or D AF-type lenses meters the selected focus point. Lenses that will auto focus and are fully compatible with the D5000 are AF-S and AF-I type lenses. For more lens compatibility information, please contact Nikon support.

Q: Will this auto focus with the D600?

A: Yes, the Nikon D600 DSLR camera has a built-in autofocus motor that allows it to be completely compatible with AI, AF-S and AF-type lenses, like the Nikon AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D Macro lens. To learn more about compatibility please contact Nikon Support.
