I bought this for a DX camera so I can shoot High School basketball games. I am pretty close to the action so a zoom was not necessary! The 1.8 and the fact that its a Prime lens makes it an excellent choice. Putting this on the DX gave me about 127mm zoon and when shooting I choose JPEG which gives me even more FPS than if I was shooting raw. I have the option to crop in the camera as well. I love it!!

This lens is sharp even at wide open aperture. Color saturation is amazing and am happy with this choice. Sharpness extends to corners when stopping down to 4 , tack sharp from there on but at 1.8 it is great also. I had to return a lens because of severe color fringing but this copy is not suffering any and am happy with it.

I absolutely LOVE this lens! It's amazing! Makes my job so much easier. The pictures are so clear! This lens definitely stepped up my photography game. If you do portraits, this lens is a MUST have in your collecting!

For the price, this is a great portrait lens for weddings and such events. Very light and versatile. Image quality is very sharp.

Absolutely in love with this lens. Takes beautiful shots! Captures great action shots during my daughters all star cheerleading comps as well as my sons basketball games. Can't go wrong here. Well worth the money!!

This lens is AMAZING. I have it on the Nikon Z50 with the FTZ adapter. So being a crop sensor, it's roughly 130mm zoom equivalent. It's sharp, and man does it perform well in low light. It's also ergonomically perfect on the Z50 / FTZ. It's much easier than carrying around a 70-200 lens. For $480, ya can't beat it. Peeps @ Akron BestBuy were very helpful (full service camera store). I love to take photos of my family and pets I got tired of paying a professional to come and take 15 pics and take my $300 ...I invested in a camera and this lens for portraits and it is amazing ! Very clear and the bokeh is wonderful . I get many compliments about the photos I take . Very pleased with the Nikon products. Especially this lens

I purchased this lens for a wedding session and I must say the photos I captured in a room which had no windows (no natural light) came out wonderful! I was freaking out when I found out there were no windows since I do all of my photography with some kind of natural light. Don’t hesitate, buy, buy, buy!! You won’t regret it! :-)

Baught it for my f100 and so far its been great!. Wish the box didnt look like it was a return, but Best Buys didnt have another one so Ill never know for sure I didnt buy a used one.

This lens is amazing. Everyone loved the pictures came out from shooting with this lens paired with a Nikon D600. The price tag is right when you get one with $100 rebate. This sample image was taken at night with available street lights only at f/1.8, 1/160sec and ISO-320. picture is cropped and resized to 960x641 px.

I just got the 85mm f1.8G for my d810. I am very happy with this lens. The lens is really fast, sharp and produces great images in low light.

I love this lens, it gives me great bokeh and lets a lot of light in. I use it with a DX though, but it takes awesome portrait photos.

A great sharp portraiture lens that provides beautiful bokeh with saturated colors. Compression between the subject and the background provides a more unique look in comparison to other lens (35mm, 50mm).

pictures are soo perfect, but this lens is not for indoor photography. I had to go too far to get one great shot.
