This rangefinder is excellent for the golf course, it is small, it has a battery that appears to be more robust than other rangefinders. It is difficult to control and it takes a couple of weeks to work the bugs out of shaking it so that you are focused behind the flag. You have to stay level headed and know approximately how far you are to determine if your reading is accurate. It can shoot places other than the flag, like sand traps, back of greens, front of greens, carries for washes etc. Overall it is a good piece of equipment at a reasonable price.

Works well so far, though I did have an issue with it starting up on a really hot day. It was in my golf bag in the back of my car on a 105 degree day and I didn't think much about it as I'd done this on several occasions, however, this time the Nikon did feel a bit hotter... It didn't turn on right away so I was immediately concerned that I'd somehow it cooked it, but after 2 holes, it started work - phew!! I'll be much more mindful of this in the future. Distances have been pretty accurate. I think I'll spring for the image stabilizer on my next one. Overall a good rangefinder!

Bought this as a present for my brother. Right out of the box it was easy to use, accurate and the battery life was not an issue for the round of golf. Highly recommend.

Just purchased this range finder, as in other reviews i had no problem finding the pin when i shot it! I however would have been happier if the yardage print was higher up! It shows on the bottom of the screen! Other than that it's great!!

The rangefinder seems to work fine. Maybe not as well as some in foggy conditions. The display is not as bright as some other devices I have used.

Accurate with clear lens. What more do you need. Steady hand is needed though especially when further out.

Wish I had spent the extra money to get one that vibrates when it hits the pin. It's really touchy and hard to know if you are getting reading from pin, or something behind it.

It is a good choice for the price but it is really subject to shakiness and would benefit from a rubber eyecup or some such (which would also protect the eyepiece) and a side-mounted strap for better handheld stability. It is very fast in measuring distance and I will enjoy it I am sure.
