Under the umbrella of Nikon's innovative lens technology, the NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lens stands out as a high-quality, professional-grade lens that offers unparalleled versatility. This compact, lightweight prime lens boasts a 40mm view, making it an ideal choice for a broad range of photography genres, from street work and landscapes to interiors and candid shots. The fast f/2 maximum aperture of this lens not only enhances low-light photography but also provides a shallow depth of field, enabling excellent subject-background separation with a natural, soft bokeh. The near-silent autofocus, coupled with close focusing capabilities, makes this lens a reliable companion for your creative journeys. The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lens is compatible with a wide range of Nikon Z-series cameras, making it a versatile option for photographers. Its focal length sits comfortably between the prized 35mm and 50mm, taking strong points from each. It captures natural-looking portraits and close-ups like a 50mm, while its wide enough for shooting indoors, on the street, or in a crowd like a 35mm. Weighing just 6 oz and measuring a mere 1.8 inches long, this lens is compact and lightweight, making it an ideal walk-around lens or a lightweight second lens. The lens' 9 rounded blade diaphragm enhances the shallow depth of field of f/2, creating a natural bokeh effect, especially at closer distances. The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lens is not just for photography; it's also video savvy. Its quiet autofocus system greatly suppresses focus breathing, preventing angle-of-view shifts during recording. The smooth, click-less control ring allows for smooth iris adjustments, creating a natural shift in brightness. The lens also features a new high-torque stepping motor for fast, near-silent autofocus, whether using Eye-Detection AF or continuous subject tracking. The control ring can be customized for precise manual focusing or to adjust aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation. Designed with durability in mind, the lens barrel and all moving parts are dust and drip-resistant, with sealing that prevents dust and water droplets from entering the lens. The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lens is a testament to Nikon's commitment to providing innovative, high-quality, and versatile photography equipment.
