I bought C1 close-up flashlight, thought it will work for my Nikon D70 and D200. It turned out, none of cameras could use the C1 kit by their build-in flashes or by external flash SB-800, even though the manual described C1 could work for the two cameras. Only when I bought SU-800, the wireless commander, C1 started to work with D200 with SU-800. I did not try them for D70, but I thought they should work. With my D200, C1 and SU-800, work perfectly in iTTL mode: I set in Aperture priority mode, I don't have to set anything on the SU-800, each picture turned out to be perfect. I have another ring flash, SB-21, in which I have to set flash parameters manually according to the distances between the object. and the lens.

Great for close up photos, can supplement the other flash units

Now I can experiment with flash photography as it allows me to play with multiple flash locations and photographs my craft projects.

Really confortable for my nikon d810, simply the best.

I was a little scared of the price, but WOW!!!!! I was very surprised at everything that came with this unit. A little bulky of a case, but its well protected in it. Did not expect color gells to come with it, but they did. I've only had it for a few days and I am mostly going to use it for macro photography. But, I can see where I would use it for portraits too.
