I am in love with this flash, it is at a great price and definitely helped brighten up my photographs when taking photos at events. It is not a very harsh light so my subjects came out with a soft glow. The only thing is that I didn't read that the batteries (2 AAA) were not included and so I had to run to buy some before my event. One of the photos attached I took with the flash in a cloudy day, using a reflector and required very minimum touch up, the other in a dim room required no editing.

The flash is great and easy to use. I paid for a brand new product and once I opened realized this product was already used, it had scratches all over and didn’t work properly. Bought new batteries and kept going off and on. Returned it right away , I don’t want an used product when I’m paying full price for a new one.

I like this flash as it is more compact than my previous external flashes. This means is takes up less space in my camera bag. It also has a tilt head. The only downside is that the head doesn't rotate like other external flashes.

With the extreme low noise at high ISO on all Z cameras, this little flash is powerful enough and very versatile for most purpose. Although it does not have white card, you can just scotch a piece of white paper and it will do the trick and add almost zero weight to it.

I recently downsized my camera and accessory collection. My old flash wan an older Nikon external Speedlight. It worked fine but was so much bigger than I needed. This one fits the bill. I use it with my Nikon D7500 camera. It is all I will ever need.

I had never used an external flash before. Once I upgraded my camera, I decided that the way to go would be to also purchase an external flash. This flash is small and convenient to carry. It also makes a world of difference with my photos. Surprisingly, I can't imagine how I went so long without an external flash!

The built-in flash use the power of the camera body. This one not only has it’s own power source but also throws light further and wider out to the subject. You can also adjust it for indirect lighting. Very compact, useful when you don’t need full size equipment, or when you are just taking snapshots.

Great flash for my d850 that doesn’t come with a built in flash. I think I prefer it this way plus not needing to keep feeding it batteries like some other accessories. Just wish it had free range instead of locked angled positions.

Great little flash for the money. Keep extra batteries handy. Flash articulates so you can get the right amount of fill-light in your shots. FAR more effective than a built-in flash.

This is a nice small flash to use on occasion. The batteries go fast and it takes a bit for it recover. If you will need it to take a more than a few pictures, you might want a different flash.

Excellent small flash that is no overpowering inside and gives off just a pop of light to where every shot looks natural.

This is a very good external flash! The low cost was also a plus too! I haven’t had any issues with it. The pouch is also great for protecting the device when it’s not being used. I wish that the flash came with rechargeable batteries.

This flash gives you plenty of light. It works great with Nikkor 35mm f1.8G lens. I like the versatility of the flash. I know it's not a high end flash but it works well for my purposes.

This flash works great with my Nikon camera. I tried other off-brand flashes but was disappointed. This unit syncs with camera great!

The SB-300 is a good flash to use as an upgrade to a built-in flash or for those that want a lightweight flash for a pro SLR without a built-in flash. It has decent range and provides useful bounce angles to avoid red-eye and provide more balanced light. It won’t replace my SB-800 for portraits or longer-range photography.

I was at first skeptical about purchasing this smaller version of the Nikon Speed light flash, but I have been very impressed thus far at how well this performs.
