Nils Patrik Johansson - The Great Conspiracy - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Flamenco can be traced back several centuries although the exact point in time at which it began to evolve is unknown. History shows, however, a diverse background of cultural roots and influences including Indian, Jewish, Byzantine, Arabic, and South American. At certain times throughout the history of the Iberian Peninsula, people from these various cultures have passed through and settled in Andalusia and in so doing forged their own particular characteristics upon the development of this southern region of Spain. At the fall of their last stronghold in Granada in 1492 after the occupation of southern Spain for seven hundred years, the Moors left behind a cultural heritage so strong and of such magnitude that five centuries later, the impact of their influence is still very much apparent. In this diverse cultural melting pot of so many different races, the seeds of flamenco were sown and there emerged a new form of musical expression. Flamenco has been evolving continuously and today the three principal elements of singing, dancing and guitar playing have reached a peak of unsurpassed technical virtuosity and musical sophistication. To understand and retain the purity of style and spontaneity of this art form, however, we must look into the way of life of the flamenco people whose roots were buried centuries ago deep in the soil of Andalusia. It is from this way of life that the very essence of flamenco has grown.

The third soloalbum from NPJ is an album for heavy metal lovers and history nerds. Every song is like an adventure in itself and Nils Patrik's band mate from Lion's Share, Lars Chriss has made an incredible job as a producer and as the guitarist and bassplayer on the album.Nils Patrik comments about the album InchI am so proud of this album and the fact that I finally got my Gustav Vasa song out to the world. My fans have been waiting. I'm also proud of Lars for his great work, for my son Fredrik for his amazing drum playing and also for Anuviel for the high quality keyboard arrangements. Also a big thanks to Tommy Denander for his efforts.InchBorn in 1967 in Borlänge, Sweden, the singer has been synonymous with outstanding hard rock / metal albums for over 20 years. Not only with his solo albums, but also as frontman of Astral Doors, Lions Share, Civil War and Wuthering Heights, Nils Patrik Johansson has thrilled fans all over the world time and time again.

Printed in Nuremberg in 1694, Erlebach's Six Sonatas for violin, viola da gamba and basso continuo, marked by both French and Italian influences, are among his few instrumental pieces to have survived. They are performed here by the Stylus Phantasticus ensemble, joined by the baritone Victor Torres for several expressive arias focusing on the theme of the 'volatile destiny of the human being'. After the success of the Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink and White collections (a total of sixty reissues) which gave a new lease of life to the pearls of the Baroque catalogues from our house labels, here are fourteen new titles which offer a chance to discover other treasures, whether Baroque or dating from an earlier or later era. Like the most recent series, this sixth instalment opens out onto the Classical repertory (Mozart by Ensemble 415 and Chiara Banchini) and the Renaissance (Févin by Doulce Mémoire and Denis Raisin Dadre); recordings that are an integral part of Alpha's identity and history. Fourteen reissues performed by the leading musicians in the field, most of which received one or more awards on their original . Proper booklets accompany the discs, with notes in three languages (French, English, German). Photographers from all over the world have been selected to illustrate the covers, this time with the guiding thread of the color green, a symbol of nature, fertility... and hope!
