There can be no doubt that Nina Simone was one of the great Black American women who bridged the movement from Blues and R&B to Soul. She was nicknamed 'The High Priestess Of Soul' and spoken of in the same awed tones as the likes of Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Ruth Brown, but in so many ways she trumpsall of them with her musicality and versatility. This emphasizes her bluesier side. Album Tracks 1. I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl 2. House of the Rising Sun 3. Central Park Blues 4. I Got It Bad 5. Gin House Blues 6. Come on Back, Jack 7.
