The joy my GameCube has brought me over this decade has been innumerable. With such a constant use it is no wonder why my original controller had seen better days. I knew it was time to search for a replacement when my B button started to stick, flat out not working at some points. In doing my research I came across this little controller. I thought why not a used goes for $10-$15 and if this is the same quality as my first it'll last into next decade. You sadly know where this is already going just by the 3 stars up top. This controller is not the same. The exterior quality is different and I believe is better though, that quickly ends my praise on this product. The face buttons are similar and I can not compare much do to my noted ware on the original. I am in a position to comment on the shoulder buttons. They are flat out garbage. A quick google search confirmed what I had already felt playing. The mechanism that is in the original controllers are not in these triggers. Making a cheap clicking sound to accent the horrible feel. You should avoid this controller at all cost. In less, you are a collector, you replace the triggers with an older models triggers (Google it) or you are playing casual games. People who this controller is not for includes yours truly, ANY SSB player or people who desire the same quality we were afforded 10 years ago. TD;LR - Great if you casually play and are okay with less quality. AVOID if you play SMASH or want original quality.

I bought this controller to play Super Smash Bros (Original, Melee, and Brawl). It works very well, far better than the original Wii wireless controllers. It has a very long cord so there are no issues with cord length, unless you are seated very, very far from the TV.

The Gamecube controller is an excellent controller for Smash Bros 4. While the adapters are hard to come by, this is a must for any competitive player. This controller also works with old Gamecube games and on top of all that, the cord is even longer than the standard controllers which is a great touch.

To this day, I would consider this controller one of Nintendo's finest. Great for Smash Bros., but excellent for other titles as well. If you need a replacement controller for your GameCube, this is your best opportunity to get a new official controller.

This is just like the Gamecube controllers from past, classic Nintendo quality but with extended cord and Super Smash Bro's edition.

Grab one before they're discontinued. Cable is longer than GameCube controllers were and you should get this even if you only have a GC/Wii, it works with them as well.

The Super Smash Bros. Edition GameCube controller for the Wii U is a sturdy, faithful recreation of the original GameCube controller. I have no complaints regarding the actual controller and consider it excellent. My only complaint is that you are required to buy a separate, $20 adapter accessory in order to connect the controller to a Wii U. Ultimately I blame myself for not doing more research and knowing this prior to purchasing, but I figured a GameCube controller that is officially marketed for the Wii U on the retail box would have actually worked with a Wii U out of the box.

This controller feels great in my hands and there is no difference from the original ones on the gamecube. Works for gamecube, wii, and Smash Bros. for Wii U.

Controller feels crisp, well made, long cord, and better textured for grip. Can't go wrong and this is the only way to truly play smash.

All the "pro" players say that a GameCube controller is *the* way to play Smash Bros. Having played SSB since the N64 days, I have to say they're right. Not to say that using a Pro controller or even a 3DS connected to Wii U is bad. But the GameCube controller feels natural to the game mechanics. I haven't touched an original GameCube controller in a long time, but I would say the build quality is at least on par. Only obstacle is actually getting a Wii U GameCube adapter...

This is a wired Gamecube controller released for use with Super Smash Bros for Wii U. A USB adapter is required to connect it to the Wii U. If you enjoy playing Super Smash Bros with a gamecube controller, this is the way to go. It even has an extra long cord so you aren't tethered super close to the TV. Used in conjunction with the USB adapter, these gamecube controllers allow for up to 8 players in certain modes of Super Smash Bros for Wii U.

I got this controller to be used for the both the Wii U and the Gamecube. It is nice that Nintendo released this gamecube controller for Smash Bro Wii U. It hard to find this great new controller that can be used for older systems too. I picked up a few to have as backup. Only thing about this controller is that you do have to buy the adapter to use it on the Wii U.

Hopefully you've managed to snag a Wii U Gamecube controller adapter so you can use this controller for Smash Brothers on the Wii U. In my opinion this is the best way to experience the game. This controller is also compatible with the Wii and Gamecube if you still need a controller for Smash Brothers on those systems. Have fun!

They nailed it with this controller. It feels great in your hands and is a great button layout for smash brothers. I have used it on my GameCube, Wii and Wii u and it has worked great. The Wii is particularly finiky with controllers, but this one is of course from Nintendo and works just like the original GameCube ones do.

The GameCube had a great controller and this item finally provides a means for gamers to purchase a new first-party Nintendo quality controller. However, this controller has a GameCube connector, so it is only compatible with GameCubes, older Wiis with GameCube controller ports, and the new adapter designed for the WiiU.

Our old Gamecube controllers are very worn out, and the joysticks don't work properly anymore. Third party controllers aren't much better than that, but these official Smash Bros Wii U Gamecube controllers are just as good as the originals.

It has been extremely difficult to find a game cube controller. I was happy when, I found the controller at Best Buy. I like the fact that I can use the controller for the game cube and the wii.
