NOFX - Half Album - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2016 from the veteran punks. What's really left to say about NOFX? For over thirty years the reigning kings of punk rock have remained relevant by continuing to push the boundaries of their music and lyrics in a way that's as endearing as it is infectious. For that reason it's remarkably apt that the band's First Ditch Effort is also their thirteenth, because ominous black clouds hang over this collection of songs that see frontman/bassist Fat Mike exploring self-loathing and mortality in a more raw and honest way than he ever has before. Guided by the collaborative influence of producer Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Alkaline Trio, Social Distortion, Pennywise), the album busts out of the gate with the amped up InchSix Years on DopeInch and never looks back. From the ultra-melodic word-play of InchOxy MoronicInch to the charging desperation of InchI Don't Like Me AnymoreInch, First Ditch Effort flexes the broad spectrum of NOFX's abilities and delivers on the musicianship, wit, and element of surprise that fans have come to expect. In 2008 NOFX starred in the TV show BACKSTAGE PASSPORT, a series that documented the insane hijinks of the band as they weaved an unsteady path through exotic locales where most sane bands fear to tread. The reality romp originally aired on FUSE and later went on to be released on DVD, which served up tons of 'too hot for TV' bonus footage. After the resounding success of the series, NOFX have been met with endless requests for a soundtrack including all the rare and exclusive songs (5 previously unreleased) from the show. After all, NOFX were beloved for their music long before their foray into the world of the Kardashians, Real Housewives, and the like. Well, fans can finally stop their pleading, because the official BACKSTAGE PASSPORT SOUNDTRACK is finally going to be available on CD and LP. Packed with 15 tracks from both seasons (That's right! The second season is nearing completion as you read this.), the BACKSTAGE PASSPORT SOUNDTRACK is a one-stop shop for all the rare, remixed, and unreleased material that fans could only previously enjoy as snippets during the show. Followers of the show and diehard NOFX collectors will both be ecstatic that this soundtrack has gone from rumor to reality. Album Tracks 1. Backstage Passport 2. No Fun in Fundamentalism 3.
