About this product
2018 . NOFX throw down a live performance of their classic album Ribbed... for your pleasure. This is certainly one of their top three live albums to date. NOFX is a punk rock band from Los Angeles, California. They were formed in 1983 by vocalist/bassist Fat Mike (formerly of False Alarm) and guitarist Eric Melvin. NOFX's mainstream success was signified by a growing interest in punk rock during the 1990s, though unlike many of their contemporaries (including Bad Religion, Green Day and The Offspring), they have never been signed to a major tag. The band rose to popularity with their fifth studio album Punk in Drublic (1994). Album Tracks 1. Green Corn 2 42 2. The Moron Brothers 2 50 3. Showerdays 2 38 4. Food, S*x & Ewe 2 49 5. 2016 from the veteran punks. What's really left to say about NOFX? For over thirty years the reigning kings of punk rock have remained relevant by continuing to push the boundaries of their music and lyrics in a way that's as endearing as it is infectious. For that reason it's remarkably apt that the band's First Ditch Effort is also their thirteenth, because ominous black clouds hang over this collection of songs that see frontman/bassist Fat Mike exploring self-loathing and mortality in a more raw and honest way than he ever has before. Guided by the collaborative influence of producer Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Alkaline Trio, Social Distortion, Pennywise), the album busts out of the gate with the amped up InchSix Years on DopeInch and never looks back. From the ultra-melodic word-play of InchOxy MoronicInch to the charging desperation of InchI Don't Like Me AnymoreInch, First Ditch Effort flexes the broad spectrum of NOFX's abilities and delivers on the musicianship, wit, and element of surprise that fans have come to expect. Album Tracks 1. Six Years on Dope 2. Happy Father's Day 3. Sid and Nancy 4. California Drought 5. Oxy Moronic 6. I Don't Like Me Anymore 7. I'm a Transvest-Lite 8. Ditch Effort 9. Dead Beat Mom 10. Bye Bye Biopsy Girl 11. It Ain't Lonely at the Bottom 12. I'm So Sorry Tony 13. Generation Z

Back in January, NOFX booked 3 nights of talking mixed with the occasion song at Slim's in San Francisco and recorded a live record. It's their sloppiest, drunkest, funniest, best sounding recording ever with new versions of old songs, rare songs and they even made sure not to play any songs off their 1995 live album, I HEARD THEY SUCK LIVE. THEY'VE ACTUALLY GOTTEN WORSE LIVE makes the walk of shame into record stores now. Album Tracks 1. Intro/Glass War 2. Yer Wrong 3. Franco 4. Scavenger Typo 5. Parents 6. Long Line 7.
