NOFX - The Longest EP - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

After recently celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band, NOFX are still firing on all cylinders with the of their 11th studio full-length, COASTER. Boasting a title that takes a playful jab at the current direction of the music industry, COASTER showcases NOFX's limitless proficiency in crafting songs that simultaneously electrify and entertain. As always, Fat Mike tackles a diverse range of topics including politics, drug abuse, religion and of course, lesbians. SELF ENTITLED is NOFX's twelfth studio full-length, yet it feels as potent as any material they've released. Rather than drifting off into a land of forgettable and mindless rehashes of their older material l like many other veteran acts, NOFX approached SELF ENTITLED with a reinvigorated virility. The twelve tracks fully embrace the hostile early LA punk sound while maintaining just the right amount of that trademark technical and melodic sound that NOFX is renowned for. Their hallmark sound and style matched with their ability to keep things fresh is unparalleled among their peers. SELF ENTITLED is a testament to these qualities and is yet another credit to the legacy. Album Tracks 1. 72 Hookers 2. I Believe in Goddess 3. Ronnie & Mags 4. She Didn't Lose Her Baby 5. Heavy Petting Zoo is the sixth from this humorous punk band. Even though NOFX doesn't take themselves too seriously (previous album titles include I Heard They Suck Live and Punk in Drublic), their musicianship does not reflect this attitude. Imagine Green Day with tighter, faster rhythms and competent guitar solos. That paints a pretty good picture of what NOFX is about.
