Nomatic - 20L Expandable Travel Pack - Black

Finding a backpack that can fit enough for a three day trip is a challenging proposition. Standard backpacks don’t have the capacity to accommodate my tech and clothing needs. Some have pockets for laptops, chargers and papers. Others have big pockets for bulky items but not enough tech storage. That’s where the Nomatic - Travel Backpack shines. It has the right balance of tech and clothing storage. I’m able to get more than three days of clothing in because it has the ability to expand about two inches by unzipping the perimeter of the backpack. There are well thought out pockets and slots to handle all of you tech needs. There is a dedicated pockets for a 15” laptop and a large tablet. It is versatile as well. You can convert to a briefcase look for professional environments by tucking the straps into a hidden compartment and using the strap handles on either side of the backpack to carry it. The backpack has a slot to allow you to slide it on a rolling suitcase handle too. This is the best of both worlds and I highly recommend it.

I travel every weekend for one evening for work purposes, and require a bag to carry both my items for work purposes and overnight (toiletries and clothing). I normally would carry my computer bag and then a separate small duffel with things. I hate carrying too many things with me and wanted something that can combine it all without having to be too large. Thankfully the Nomatic Travel Bag fits all of my needs. This is the 30L edition and is a welcomed item that is perfect for me. I was impressed at the shipping box it came in: very sleek and professional. Opening up I was equally impressed at the size and look of the bag, very minimalist and rugged. It arrived on time for me to take it to work the next day and overnight needs. After less than a week of usage, here are my initial thoughts: Pros: -Size. 30L may not seem a lot but there are a lot of pockets and pouches in this bag. You are met with a 18" x 13" x 6". You immediately see 5 zipper sections. Starting from the front is accessories section; a small pouch section; clothing/overnight section; expansion zipper to increase size; and the computer section which meets your back. There are also 2 water bottle pouches that flank the sides. The Accessories, Clothing and Computer areas also have additional pouches and zippers which I will go into detail. -Durability: this feels very rugged and durable. There is an imitation leather texture and is water resistant. I found out the hard way when I spilled my water bottle on it but was able to wipe it off and the contents were not wet. The straps feel strong and comfortable on my shoulders. It also has included a belt strap. Two handles are on the sides next to the water bottle pouch if you wanted to hold it like a laptop briefcase. -Storage: 30L is a lot of room. When you open each section you are met with lots of additional pockets and pouches to securely store your items. The Accessories area has enough of these for all of my charging cables, mouse, and other computer related items. The clothing/toiletry area has a meshed pocket for my shoes, a hardened box for my toothbrush, and pockets for rolled socks, and underwear. It is large enough for maybe a weekend. If I didn't need shoes/slippers, I can easily have extra pants in here. This area can also be expanded which is a nice touch. The computer section is the most problematic because I easily placed my LG laptop 14" and also my pixelbook. But it soon got really tight in there. I wished there was enough wiggle room where it did not feel confined. -Zippers: The zippers all feel really strong and durable (that word again!). I really enjoy how the zippers go all the way to the bottom to allow full opening. This reminds me of my medical aid-bag in the military and I love that feature where it can just open that far out. Cons: -The only con again is the computer section. Other than that, I will probably switch off with either laptop/pixelbook. Overall, this is a great bag and meets all my needs for short term trips with work related stuff. What a great and DURABLE bag.

The Nomatic - Travel Backpack - Black is super versatile. Upon first look it just looks like a regular backpack. However when you start unzipping unhooking and opening things you realize there are many many compartments to house various sizes of things during your travel. I really like the expanding portion to almost double in size the depth of the backpack. Even though it gets larger in size it’s still a carry-on size and would even fit under a airplane seat. It also comes with thick and durable shoulder straps along with a detachable waist strap just in case your back it’s a little heavy this is extra back support. I really like the color it’s not complete dark black it’s more of a charcoal black. Water resistant always comes in handy if you’re traveling to a damp/wet area. If you’re only going to pack clothes this may not be the backpack however if you have minimal clothes and multiple things this is a good choice.

High quality firm structure - not flimsy, easy to clean water resistance material, loads of pockets for storage, zippered mesh to hold small things in place, secure expandable water bottle storage on both sides, comfy padded shoulder straps and nice sturdy handles.

I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to use this backpack for the last month. I never thought that I would be so excited about a backpack as I am with this bag. The Nomatic Travel Pack has well thought out compartments for everything that I need throughout the course of the day. It took me about a week to figure out where all the three zippers lead to and how to best utilize them, but now I can't go back to a traditional backpack. The compartment nearest my back has plenty of space for a couple laptops (work and school) and folders. The middle compartment is a great compartment that I can put my lunchbox or change of clothes all while not bulking up my backpack. Finally, the outside compartment is perfect for all my tech accessories. This has plenty of pockets for all my dongles, chargers, air pods, pens, etc. The icing on the cake is that there is hard sided glasses case inside the bag and two water bottle holders on each side that magnetically contract back onto the side of the backpack.
