Brand new North American P-51D Mustang Fighter Aircraft "Tuskegee Airmen, Duchess Arlene, 100th Fighter Squadron" United States Army Air Forces (Challenging Difficulty) Steel Model Kit by Metal Earth. Brand new box. Detailed exterior. Includes 58 parts. Includes display stand. Highly detailed model kit. Officially licensed product. Difficulty level: Challenging. This item does not have openings. Assembled dimensions approximately L-6.2, W-7.6, H-3.1 inches. No glue or paint is required, but tweezers or similar tools are recommended. Tuskegee Airmen were trained at the Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alabama. During World War II, they flew more than 15,000 individual sorties in Europe and North Africa where they gained recognition as The Red Tails for the uniquely painted red tails of their planes. “Duchess Arlene” Was a red-tail P-51D flown by Lt. Robert Williams - a Tuskegee Airman – in 1945. He flew 50 combat missions from Italy with the 100th Fighter Squadron.
