    Awesome Kitchen Gadget

    One of the best and most unique kitchen accessories (necessities) out there. Great for a quick snack or even a meal (less clean up). I got a fantastic deal on mine online and had it shipped to the store to save in the shipping charges. Definitely a must have item. The nostalgic look really adds to the attraction of this hotdog toaster. Getcha one now and don’t live with the regret of letting it get away.

    MmmHotdogs

    This little toaster is great. It is quick, and tastes way better than boiling or microwaving. It is as close to grilling without the grill as you can get. One cycle for the buns, and one extra for just the dogs is my preference. It is also nice looking to leave on the counter for convenience. We have used it about four times now and it has not yet required cleaning (it looks like that would be pretty simple though). FYI the machine will smell funny the first time, so use a test dog and do two runs before you make one to eat. This is normal, and only happens on first use.

    cooks very nicely

    I have used the hot dog cooker limitedly, but would use the machine versus the microwave or pan anyday of the week. I cooked the hot dog on the lowest setting for a longer period of time in order to play with the machine. I rotated the hot dog once and it was cooked perfect. the only reason that I didn't give it a 5 is that the hot dogs get plumper when cooked and removing it was difficult, even with a fork and knife, from the insert assembly, which you pull entirely of the machine. based on the limited price, and good cooking, I would recommend the product.

    Fun and entertaining

    My son and I were shopping at Best Buy one day when he saw this hotdog maker! it wasn't very expensive and I know you can nuke hotdogs or boil them but was worth the money spent for him to get excited to cook his own hotdogs and warm up the buns!! Simple to operate and the hotdogs taste great as well. Nice to have a bun warmer as well.

  • Are you able to clean the unit well enough so that there is no hot dog smell in cabinets when stored? Thanks!

    I can't say I have noticed a hot dog smell after cooking but it is difficult to keep "fresh out the box" clean.

  • I know this is for hot dogs, but can you put Brats in this as well or is it just not big enough?

    The well is pretty long... while it swallow the whole hot dog, i found that i have to flip the dog to get evenly heated.

  • Is there any toaster I can take with me and plug at 240 volts? Or are they all just 110? Thanks!I will move to Southamerica soon and there the electricity is 240 volts. I need appliances I can plug there without a transformer.

    I think you will need a transformer or you can purchase a converter plug for it.

  • cleaningI see it has a slide out fro crumbs but how do you clean the hot dog roaster?

    The hot dogs go in a little cage that lowers with them and comes out for easy cleaning. I'm sure you could toss it in the dishwasher even. It's metal, obviously, so can take some scrubbing.
