About this product
Novo Amor is Ali Lacey, who began Novo Amor as a project of sorts, an act of defiance in the wake of a break-up, but along the way he found something quite unexpectedly rich and rewarding. Years ago, a summer spent by an evergreen-surrounded lake in upstate New York supplied both the impetus and imagery that he would use to craft his debut album 'Birthplace' (2018), and the follow-up, 'Cannot Be Whatsoever' (2020) in a house in Cardiff that was part home, part-studio. On 'Collapse List' (2024), Lacey reflects on the record and how it Inchspeaks of my recognising what needs to change in my life, from my location, my feelings towards making music, the nature of my relationships and such... It started to feel like a catalogue of personal growth; my own little collapse list. Inch Album Tracks 1. First Place 2. Same Day, Same Face 3. Placeholder 4. Years on 5. Me V2 6. Co-Pathetic 7. Hotel 8. Easy Feeling 9. Land Where I Land 10. Sand & Sky 11. Ornaments 12. Just Another Way

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2017 . After meeting in November 2013, Ed Tullett and Novo Amor (Ali Lacey) quickly began writing to form the basis of what is now Heiress, their full-length collaborative record, out November 10th via AllPoints. Recorded around the of their two widely lauded collaborative singles (InchFauxInch, 2014 and InchAlpsInch, 2016), the pair worked sporadically in intense week-long sessions in Cardiff spilling over Lacey's old and new home-studios, tearing songs down and building them back up again. InchHeiressInch is noticeably the product of nearly 4 years work - sprawling, ambitious and strikingly deep, it's a collection of songs both meticulously calculated and deeply felt. The record swings between delicate, poetic falsetto and vast walls of towering beauty - something single InchCavalryInch does all on it's own. InchSilveryInch is a vital, grandiose inauguration, and the magical InchTerraformInch a celebratory realisation that you're back on your own Earth again. Both are solo artists in their own right - Welsh alt-folk artist Novo Amor's second EP InchBathing BeachInch, was released in May after a string of stunning self-released singles, whilst Oxford-born and Brighton-bred songwriter and producer Ed Tullett's 2016 album Fiancé precedes a flurry of upcoming solo, collaborative and production work. Album Tracks 1. Silvery 2. Euphor 3. Cavalry 4. Amateur 5. Pteryla 6. Vantalblack 7. Anatome 8. Ontario 9. Dancer 10. Terraform 11. Freehand
