About this product

Nothing special... just your average psychedelic-hardcore punk-power pop-alt-country-shoegaze father-daughter project! Where Did We Go Wrong? is proof that there is a silver lining in every cloud, even a cloud as dark and pervasive as COVID. In the Summer of 2021, Real Gone Music tag co-founder Gordon Anderson was hanging out in the backyard of one of the three families comprising his pandemic InchpodInch when the kids-who'd all known each other since preschool-started banging around on some instruments lying around the garage. Suddenly, from the unmistakable if uncertain strains of Hole's InchMalibu,Inch came the sounds of somebody playing drums... and playing really well! Turns out it was Anderson's then 14 year-old daughter Edie, who, though she had taken guitar lessons for a few years, had never held a drumstick in her life. So, the Andersons bought a drum kit off Craigslist, and Edie and Gordon started jamming nightly in their West Hollywood garage. The collaboration deepened, though, when their cousin Will Kast moved to town and opened a recording studio in his apartment. Suddenly, the idea dawned on Gordon and Edie that they could actually make a record and preserve for posterity all the new songs they were developing together. So, when Spring Break rolled around in 2022, the duo got down to work, laying down tracks for 15 songs that veer wildly but seamlessly from driving psychedelia (InchA Little InsaneInch) to hardcore punk (InchEnergy Star;Inch InchBlock PartyInch) to power pop (InchBad for My HealthInch) to alt-country (InchLast Gasp;Inch InchPaying My DisrespectsInch) to shoegaze (InchHouse of MirrorsInch) and beyond, with a little extra octane (and faster tempos than those found on Gordon's critically-acclaimed 2020 solo album Moon Man) provided by the teenage drummer. The lyrics, which feature some co-writes between Gordon and Edie, take on everything f

October Drift - Blame The Young - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Blame The Young is the third album by the Taunton based Alternative Rock Band October Drift, out on Physical Education Recordings. Blame The Young (the title song) explores denial and blame. It works on a personal and level but also on a societal & political level too. The housing crisis, the food crisis, poverty, the unravelling of the NHS - blame the young, blame immigration.. The albums central theme is ownership of our own decisions, actions and choices with an element of youthful defiance. 2024 from highly acclaimed indie rock collective October Drift.

Besk - What Went Wrong 1996-2000 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

no 100 has to celebrated in a way, I suppose. So, on thise Halvfabrikat Records go back to were it all started; with Besk. The anarchopunk band from Kalmar. Little brothers of Operation. This is their complete discography on one CD. The demotape, the first EP, the album and their last effort, another EP. Included here are also some bonuses. First off, the band did record another song at the session for the last EP. This song are included here, as well as a song from the band Backstabber, who emerged after Besk ended. This is raw and shedding, even nearly 25 years! Mad blasts of powerful Swedish hardcore.
